Having stayed in a nearby four star hotel last year and played tennis in another on both visits i am surprised at this hotels rating. The food hall ( the best description ) is noisy with a low ceiling and is busy with the atmosphere of a works canteen . The all inclusive wine is near to undrinkable - even the Cava ! The situation of the site next to the vast unfinished hotel building site is far from ideal especially if ones balcony overlooks said building site and roof with extractor fans . ( three attempts to switch rooms were met with an alternative room next to the disco ! Complete with warning of excess noise until 2 am ! ) . On the plus side the three tennis courts are good with excellent tennis coaching available ( Jorg linden and Steno are very good ) . The adult unheated pool is good for serious swimmers . The rooms are spacious and clean . The bar in the reception is often manned by Enrique who is very good at his job and the beer and spirits with mixers are fine.

We stayed here for a week in April as a family group in three rooms. We had ground floor rooms with a garden area outside which the children could run around and play on. Plenty of choice in the buffet at breakfast, lunch and dinner and the Spanish restaurant is well worth a visit. The pools were quite cold but refreshing when the sun was shining! The alcoholic slush puppies were amazing and they had child friendly slushes too. There was never too long a wait at the bar in the evenings. Lovely, albeit windy walk along the beach to the marina. All in all, a lovely week away was had by all.

My family and I visited this complex for the Easter holidays in April 15. The reason I say complex, is that it isn't really a hotel in the traditional sense but a collection of apartment style rooms which are set in secure grounds. The apartments all share the facilities such as reception, restaurants, bars and pools. There are however areas of the complex that are aimed at adults only therefore, as we travelled as a family, we didn't try to access them. Reception. The reception area was modern looking and spotlessly clean. The staff were always very pleasant and spoke any language that confronted them. There is also a small bar area and a quiet zone located on a mezzanine floor. Grounds & pools The apartments are spread around different zones which incorporate grassed areas, planted areas and pools. In total there are 5 family pools and 3 adult only pools. The zones and planting made a large complex feel much smaller and individual. The sun loungers at the main family pool area adjacent to the animation team filled up pretty quickly as did the loungers at the surrounding family pools. Although the Brits love to moan about a certain nationality reserving loungers with towels a fair bit of this went on even though the complex was mainly occuped by British holidaymakers while we were here so draw your own conclusions. Apartment. The apartments are on 2 levels so the whole complex has a nice feel and isn't overbearing. Generally speaking the exterior appearance is excellent with no visible shabby or deteriorating plaster / paintwork. Our room was a junior suite which had a bedroom off the living room. The bedroom could be isolated from the living room by a multi panel foldaway door. The bedroom was spacious even though it had a king size bed, 2 bedside units, a dresser incorporating fridge and built in wardrobes. The living room had a double seater settee which converted into one or two beds. There was also a bed side style unit, glass top table and TV unit. The living room was spacious when the settee bed was folded away and never felt cramped when we had one bed folded out. The living room gave access to the balcony through sliding patio doors. The balcany was roomy and had a table with 2 chairs and a foldaway maiden. The bathroom was spacious enough and had a bath, shower, toilet & wall mounted hair dryer. The room was serviced on a daily basis with the option to keep or change towels. Our apartment was spotlessly clean and presented very well. If you wanted to be picky there were signs of wear and tear but the odd chip out of the wooden bathroom door or mirror frame didn't bother us. Restaurants The main family restaurant (Gaudi) served breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was always a good selection of food which is provided on a buffet style. In addition to the prepared meal options there was always a chef that freshly cooked a meat & fish dish. There was always a good variety of food to keep even the fussiest eaters happy. The downside to the buffet system is that the restaurant always seemed to be chaotic as people cruised around the displays of food before choosing what they wanted. That's no criticism of the restaurant it just goes with self service buffets when everyone wants to eat at the same time. There are also 2 themed restaurants (Asian and Spanish) along with the adults only restaurants. The Asian restaurant also doubled up as the poolside restaurant during the day and served food & drinks for most of the day. Swimwear was not allowed to be worn in any of the restaurants if you wanted to sit inside and minimum of knee length trousers / shorts was required for the men in the evening. Animation team The team provided entertainment throughout the day which was split into infant, junior and adult. A notice board indicated the daily activities and times. A few people were surprised to find that the juniors were not signed in or our and were therefore aprehensive about leaving kids with the animation team in case they wandered off. Evening entertainment Entertainment was provided every evening which started with the kids club and animation team. The animation team also provided entertainment along with other artists. We didn't really take up the evening entertainment so can't really make any judgements. Overall impressions This is a fantastic complex that is well maintained and spotlessly clean. The staff are always courtious and friendly. The site has access (300m) to coco beach and is a 10 min walk to the main shopping street and 20 min walk to the harbour area. From the perspective of a family you can't really go wrong with the Atlantis.

Corralejo enjoys year-round sunshine and very little rainfall. Average daytime temperatures vary between 16°C at the start of the year and 25°C during the peak months of July and August.
If that sounds a bit too hot, or if you're visiting with younger kids who are more sensitive to the sun, try taking a Corralejo holiday outside of peak time - perhaps in October or February when the island still enjoys mild weather of around 23° Celsius, so a tan is still possible! The island also receives mild north-easterly winds all year round, so you’ll receive a welcome breeze whatever time you visit. Take particular care during peak season, though, as the breeze can disguise the strength of the sun.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
