lovely little hotel/ apartments. room was cleaned, beds made and bins emptied every day except 2 days. pool areas kept clean. didnt pay for tv as i dont go on holiday to watch tv! did pay for internet and got signal everywhere except in the evening bar but didnt get phone signal either! 19 euros a week is pretty good as my phone company wanted £25! rooms very large we had 2 balconies one had sun in the morn and the other facing the pool area had sun all day. staff were very helpful and lovely always had a smile on there faces. there wasnt alot of choice for food but when did you cook a meal and make 10+ different dishes!!?? swimming pools absolutley freezing! no one was in them except the kids pool which was so small it warmed up pretty quickly. weather was pretty crap! very very windy with a cold wind. but when the sun did decide to come out it was lovely! oh yes and it doesnt take as long as people have said to get to the beach! i am a slow walker and took me 15 mins tops! the only reason i wouldnt visit again was the weather and that its always windy so i will not be visiting lanzarote again but if i did i would stay again considering the price!

Stayed here for a week at half term 16th February 2015. The apartment was basic but for what we paid we didn't expect it to be perfect it was somwhere to sleep, the decor was in need of updating cracked tiles etc and the sink in the bathroom smelt of bad eggs, the maid sprayed it everyday. The indoor heated pool which we thought our 12 year old could use was for 18+ only which it didn't say in the brochure. The reception staff could all benefit with a course in customer services they were so unhelpful our holiday company had to send our boarding passes to the hotel and they wouldn't give us them until two days before departure and they had lost our daughters one, it cost us 30 Euros phoning our travel agent for a replacement. The food is a disgrace, the tv you pay for, the internet is 6 Euros a day and doesn't work, unless you sit in reception. All in all we wouldn't stay here if it was free.

This is our 3rd time at Cay beach Sun and unfortunately it doesn't get better. Now to be fair we have probably paid £25 pppn b & b but that doesn't excuse certain details. For example there is a panty liner on our steps that has been there since we arrived. The towels are moth eaten and torn. Get a coffee before the 10 am finish at breakfast because the machines are switched off promptly. Everything is getting more tired as each year passes. With a little investment this could be a very good hotel. We are here as part of a Jet2 package, I cannot believe they have inspected this hotel as I would expect better standards from this company even accounting for the price.
Cheap Playa Blanca holidays are more or less a fixture for tourists the whole year round, thanks in no small part to the consistently warm Lanzarote temperatures - consistently hot, that is! Hot it may be, averaging around 18° Celsius in December and 26° Celsius by the summer, but sultry breezes, courtesy of the trade winds, mean you’re never flustered. Having said that, ensure you have your sun cream on at all times to protect you from the sun's rays.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
