We have stayed at cay beach twice and are hoping to go back again maybe not this year but next year. We find this hotel perfect for us not to big and not too small the staff are all very friendly food is good but the entertainment is not that brilliant still can't have everything. It's about 15 minutes from the centre of playa blanca which is a nice walk and you don't have to go the same way there are different ways into town.

This review is purely based on my holiday 14th - 21st June 2015. This has been the worst All Inclusive hotel I have been to. NO STAFF. The staff (all of 3 waiters - only one a day) with the poor waiter running from the pool bar to clearing the restaurant through the day then from the main bar to the restaurant on an evening, so needless to say we stood around alot waiting to be served. The food wasn't great and wasn't rotated through the mealtimes to be served hot, the floors in the restaurant were never mopped and the same food dropped was still there through the week and the room floors were never cleaned and even though there was an animation guy (only one) there was no great entertainment for children All of this is a shame because the complex is fabulous and the rooms have been refurbished - but not the main bar, that isn't so good. I definately will not use this hotel again.

We stayed for a week in 2015 self catering. The rooms were lovely, comfortable, nicely decorated and included everything you need. The maids came regularly and did a good job; they were also happy to leave you in peace if you oversleep! The staff were all polite and helpful (more helpful that our rep!!) The pool areas were good with plenty of sun loungers and a choice of pools. These areas were also very clean and tidy. Only 5-10 mins to the beach which then leads on to the shops, restaurant and town center.

We stayed for 9 nights end of May 2014. Had an apartment ground floor by the pool. Cleaned regularly. Nice swimming pools. Would recommend this hotel. Only negative was lack of security when the kids were in the kids club. Gate was left open. I was able to walk in and out without anyone challenging me. Would not advise to leave a younger child in the kids club. Lovely restaurants down at the front, took us about 10 mins to walk. Free wifi in the ice bar (if you eat there be prepared to wait a while!!!!!!!)

Tourist Information

Weather

Cheap Playa Blanca holidays are more or less a fixture for tourists the whole year round, thanks in no small part to the consistently warm Lanzarote temperatures - consistently hot, that is! Hot it may be, averaging around 18° Celsius in December and 26° Celsius by the summer, but sultry breezes, courtesy of the trade winds, mean you’re never flustered. Having said that, ensure you have your sun cream on at all times to protect you from the sun's rays.

Jabs

As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).

Electricity

European Style 2-Pin Sockets, 220/225V
