great complex....for everyone. One thing if you are a middle age couple you def need to use the lower pool, music could be a little too loud for the hour the entertainment staff lay on water polo/ football. Only used the bar once and it was not very inviting. The apartments themselves were great clean modern. Wouldn't pay th emoney for the tv again only english channels were the news.

We booked this holiday in June but after reading about five dismal reviews that were posted during the first week or so of July we were really worried about what we were letting ourselves in for. I wish we hadn't bothered reading the reviews now as we had a fantastic holiday. I have never felt compelled before to review a hotel having had a good experience but I want to allay any fears that people may have before travelling. My husband and I stayed here for ten days with our seven year old. Check in was smooth and easy and the man on reception was very welcoming. We arrived at 8.30 pm and he advised us to go straight to the restaurant as the evening sitting ended at 9pm. Apartment was brand new, spotless and totally modern. We paid for air con, really good value and it was the coldest, most effective air con we have ever experienced on holiday. Air con only in bedroom so the living room became a bit hot and stuffy at night so we hired a fan for ten euros, again, really cheap. The pool area was fantastic. The splash pools with slides were fantastic and kept the under tens amused all day. The life guards were very friendly with the kids, not the usual non stop whistle blowing types who seem to relish spoiling any kind of fun! Inflatables were allowed in the pools, as were balls. They interacted well with everyone. Clientele wise our experience was that the vast majority of guests were English or Irish. This was great for our son who was able to make lots of friends and had an absolute ball. The pools were spotless, the bar, restaurant and complex in general were clean, well kept and tidy. We were AI and as previous reviews had described the food as Inedible or revolting we were worried. We needn't have worried. The food was hot, varied and of a high standard. There was so much choice I honestly don't know what these people were talking about. We have stayed in many four and five star hotels and the breakfasts have never been so varied. Cereals (with really nice milk that tasted like home!), pastries, cakes, lots of fresh sliced bread and stacks of fresh crusty French sticks. Continental meats and a full range of cooked breakfast items; bacon, gammon, sausages, hot dogs, tomatoes, hot scrambled egg, fresh fried eggs, fried bread and freshly made pancakes. Always a lot of fresh fruit at every mealtime too. If people can't find anything to eat at breakfast then I'm not sure what they eat! Lunch and dinner was always fresh and well cooked with a wide choice of fish, meat salads, veg, potatoes, pasta and rice. There was always chips, plain pasta and rice for the really fussy (with a choice of two pasta sauces for those wanting it). We ate a lot of salads because they were so fresh and varied. Plenty of olives, feta cheese, dressings, fish etc. We really didn't have a bad meal. The staff in the restaurant work non stop clearing and tidying tables. We never had to wait for a table once and didn't have jostle or queue for food and drink either at the restaurant or at the pool bar. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. The hotel is a ten minute walk to the lovely beach. The bars and restaurants are a ten minute walk away and here you find the usual type of bar and restaurants you would find in most Spanish resorts. Family orientated, Sky Sports showing football matches etc. We went to Marina Rubicon for three evenings out. Hotel reception called us a taxi because it was too far to walk but they only cost about four euros. The Marina Rubicon is brand new, very upmarket in terms of the shops and boutiques and the restaurants are of a very high standard. We enjoyed three beautiful evening meals out. We did day trip to Rancho Texas. This is an absolute must! Fantastic place to visit, lovely ranch theme, plenty of animals to see as well as a brilliant parrot show, sea lion show and bird of prey show. My son also had a go at kayaking and this was fab. Beautiful place. Added bonus for us was that my son and I paid to do the swim with sea lions experience. This was awesome, a fabulous experience. If you want a hotel with plenty of night time entertainment then this isn't the hotel for you. Once the restaurant closes at 9pm the only place to go is the indoor bar. This was very clean and modern but we found it very dark and a bit gloomy. We much prefer to sit outside in the fresh air in the evening (as you get so little chance to do this back home!) They do a mini disco Thursday to Monday. Advertised to start at 8.30 but it never did until at least 9.15 which is a bit late really for little ones who are waiting for it! We went twice and it was quite lame! In summary, we had a fantastic, stress free holiday in a fabulous location that is perfect for kids during the day time. Clean, safe, with friendly staff and great food. We would recommend this hotel for any family looking for a great pool scene. If you want a night time scene then this is t for you.

..Very disappointed ....We stayed here for 1 week with 4 children in 2 apartments. First of all when we arrived it was only 1 apartment cleaned, the receptionist told us to come back for the other key in an hour.It was ok,after we put our luggages in 1 apartment, we went to visit our friends in town, who live there. When we came back to the hotel, there was an other man (younger guy with beard or mustache) at the front desk, who was extremely rude and not helpful at all.( I don't think he should work in a hotel.....) We had to pay extra for the tv+ deposit for the remote, extra for the wifi per phone /tablet, extra for the air conditioning. Everybody in the hotel (staff) was miserable and bored. The pool closed at 6 p.m .and after that the hotel was dead , nothing to do there at all. It supposed to be an all inclusive hotel, but there was no entertainment at all/they have only 1 person for the entertainment who was more interested to chatting with women and drinking around the pool. Mini Club was closed all the time. It would be a good apartment hotel, because they have lots of facilities..,gym,inside swimming pool,playground,football/tennis/basketball court(, but no balls to play with 😕)The staff has to change or replaced ,they need to be more friendly and helpful . The apartments were not cleaned every day, and the cleaners did NOT clean properly.

We recently returned from a week holiday for 9 people between 14-22 July 2015, upon reading the reviews it became clear it was a mixed verdict so off we went, well upon a night time arrival we was handed a bag upon check in, that contained a sandwich, fruit, and drink and given the keys to the apartment, not much instruction from the security as to where we had to go because he did not speak English at all, not a big deal to us as we were finally on holiday. We found our rooms that were poolside and on entering found the room to be very clean, and spacious actually the whole hotel and grounds were very clean a presentable in general, so no complaints there. The following morning the children were all up and ready to go aged between 3-15 there was enough for the 5 of them to do around the complex, the older ones 10-12-15 had a small football court, and volleyball court to keep them occupied as well as the two large pools. The 3-9 year olds had the splash pool with slides, which kept them amused for hours. The slides did not open till about 10 o'clock until Camilo the lifeguard got there, but when he did get there he was the life of the party playing with the children and adults alike, an absolute superstar. he does not speak English but that is not a problem. Then there is Rigo the entertainer who does all the daytime kids activities/pool activities and general daytime amusement around the pools, so between Camilo, and Rigo there is always a good atmosphere going on, these two guys need more credit for what they do that is for sure. One of our boys hurt his toe on the second day Camilo the lifeguard dealt with it like a true professional and we could not thank him enough, the pool bar supplied the kids with burgers, hot-dogs, drinks, and pots of ice-cream, also alcohol for the adults. We were all inclusive so the pool bar was during set times of the day, but we did not find a problem with it it seemed to be open all day with good service, but it was not to busy on the complex they could do with more staff when it gets busy but no problem to us, longest we waited was about 2 mins. One problem we did find was the food at dinner time we had a party of fussy eaters and the choice of food was not to everyone's taste especially the little ones, so we found ourselves eating out in playa blanca every night, which was very lovely, and only a cheap cab journey, a couple of pound so not to bad. Breakfast at the hotel was lovely eggs bacon sausage etc although on return we have found out that they have different waiters so don't know what the food is like now, but that's its only downfall evening entertainment is/was run by Rigo he tries his best but always had a hard audience but don't expect your Butlins type entertainment, a bit of bingo, and little fun with the little ones, and a chilled out evening drink was what was on the list each night, well while we was there anyway. overall a great holiday, great people, great island we are going back in march and can not wait, if you want a posh 5 star hotel go somewhere else, but if you want a place your kids can be kids and have some fun without others looking at you funny then your in the right place. Our 3 year old lived on the fancy kinder eggs the hotel shop sold, as she is a really fussy eater but she survived till we got home, there will always be some sort of food the fussiest will live on. good luck on your travels enjoy Lanzarote we did. Also we paid for WIFI and TV channels and Safe but we did get the deposits back so cant grumble.
