Horrendous stay at the Nido apartments, the negative reviews are accurate. I was fully aware this would not be the Ritz but inedible food, rude staff and dirty environment are amongst other problems at this 'resort'. Upon arrival there was no one at reception, a security guard did all he could however we were not informed or given any information, our passports were left on the side and we were given a key, I asked whether they would be safe their to which I got a mumble as a response. Understandably this was security so we went to 'check in' the next morning - a rude receptionist shouted that she had just started (already been there an hour) and we should come back later. Lovely welcome. The assumed restaurant manager (Annie) doesn't ask whether you have finished food but grabs your plate, and throws it in the bin - which is where it should be (please see pictures attached). Annie shouted at one of the girls in our group in for taking a coffee back to the apartment as these are not allowed after 11am. All inclusive? We came back actually losing weight on holiday because the food made us all ill. Food looks like it is reused everyday. Plastic glasses are washed up and there is a microwave next to the buffet to warm up the cold meat which is served. Beware of the chicken, looks very suspicious - it's comparable to school dinners. Moving onto our accommodation, we found several cockroaches in our room more than likely because it was cleaned once a week. The entire resort feels dirty (litter everywhere, dirty bowls of rotting food in the garden which stayed with us all week, cigarette butts). Our apartment was filthy when we arrived. Cleaners do not care if your sleeping at 9am, you are forced to leave. All staff very rude especially Annie. Only friendly person is Christopher behind the bar. Cleaner shouted for us to leave on our check out day however not told check out times, other guests had same experience. Had to leave luggage in reception area which is unattended most of the day. Security is an issue, a taxi man was able to come to our apartment door and demand we go with him despite not booking and threatened us. Do not let your children here, it's not safe. I understand you get what you pay but this is not even a 2 star as it claims. Food makes you ill and staff need training in customer service (didn't see one smile all week). Entire place is a disgrace and not safe. THIS PLACE NEEDS A HEALTH AND SAFETY CHECK I WOULDN'T LET MY DOG STAY HERE.

Just back from one of the best holidays I have ever had, the staff are amazing Annie deserves a sainthood she works so hard, the rooms are spotless and the food is basic but there is nothing wrong with that especially for what we paid. There is no entertainment but we didn't need that as Pete one of the guests done a brilliant job of making us laugh and feel welcome. Can't wait to go back had such a good time
