Visited Nido del Aguilar in mid July 2015, it was my first holiday in 10 years, so wanted to make it a happy memory. I chose the location and apartments, and as I had never visited Gran Canaria plucked Puerto Rico and the apartments from images on the Internet. I wasn't disappointed, from the moment I stepped off the plane I knew I had made the right choice. The apartment complex was stunning, (see images) the pool, the living quarters, the bathroom/wet-room was clean, modern and extremely comfortable, (see images) the complex, all apartments and pool area were exceptionally clean, every inch was cleaned daily, and the staff were extremely friendly. We went all inclusive, which is something I have never done, I am glad I did, the food was delicious, every meal time was different, it was cultural, diverse and always had an abundance of fresh fruit and salad available. The views were stunning from the hillside, the walk down to the beach was a little bit of a trek down hill, but we did it 4 times during the week, as Amadores beach was amazing. A taxi will cost you €3 back. Places along the beach front were extremely reasonable in both food, drink and prices, Monaco restaurant do the most amazing Canarian salads, as the competition for custom along the seafront is evident, there is always reasonably priced excellent food and drink all day and evening. Puerto Rico catered for all ages, and families. There is a great shopping centre called the Europa centre opposite the complex has some great gift shops, local supermarket, bars, places to eat and entertainment for families. There are 3 great beaches, there are loads of exciting boat trips, there is always something to do, no matter what age, I will defiantly go back again. :)
