I have always said I would not revisit a holiday destination, having been to this complex in Jan 2010 (all inclusive) we then found the place fine, I spotted a late deal offer late in 2014 for a reasonable price flying from a local airport and thought why not. This was a mistake, the complex has not changed and the immediate area around the place is pretty bland, I was not impressed with the Europe center adjacent the place. Basically on this visit I realized how how isolated the Nico del Apartments are. Puerto Rico itself however is a really nice location and I would recommend the resort very highly we spent almost all our time there with the exception of a trip to Puerto de Mogan which is an beautiful place. I could not bring myself to rate the Nico Del Apartments poor because they are not, but the average score I have given is a little bit flattering.

Visited these apartments for christmas and new year on a all inclusive basis, what a mistake, the guests staying there were mainly Danish and we found them to be quite rude and ignorant also the food was geared up to their tastes so found it a bit unusual to say the least even the food that we were used to was served up like school dinners rather than a restaurant. The all inc drinks consisted of a small bar serving the usual array of drinks but there was no area to sit and have a drink and socialise as the only tables were outside and it was really cold of an evening. The apartments themselves were quite nice , well equipped and kept very clean by the maids who were all lovely friendly people, the only problem is the position of our apartment means that it had no sun on it at any time of the day, so was cold even in the daytime. The pool areas are quite nice but the weather was really poor and we didn't get chance to use them very much. As with all apartments in the same area there are lots of steps which could cause problems for less able body people. The europer centre is a couple of minutes walk away where a vast array of restaurants and bars are situated catering for every tastes including some late bars on till early hours. Spent some time in Mary D's english bar which had live sport of an evening followed by a fun quiz, entertainment and then karaoke every night and the drinks were cheap. Also worth a mention is Friar tucks chip shop which is open until 3 am and does the best chunky home made chips we have had for many years, they also do all the other things you would get in an English chippy including kebabs. All in all we needed a break and we got a relaxing holiday unfortunately the weather was very poor and the apartments very disappointing, hasn't put us off though we have booked for new year but in a different apartment complex.

Check in no problem, receptionist friendly and helpful.Apt small but clean and well equipped kitchen.Asked for extra blanket and pillow, duly deliverd to apt within 10 minutes.Requested upper apt with sea view and sun on balcony, got upper floor ,no sun,no sea view.room 18 a .Pleased we were S/C as eating area looked like a chicken shack not a restaurant. Food looked liked vile slops.Three pools one heated at the Laura complex.Cleaners/Maids kept all outdoor areas and rooms very clean.Supermarket on site well stocked and reasonably priced.Close to Europa Centre and a 15 min walk to Amadores beach which is much nicer than Peurto Rico beach. A very honest opinion.
