Overview
Hotel Playa Bonita is a great hotel in the heart of popular Playa del Inglés, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the sandy beach and sea, and a few minutes from shopping centres Kasbah and Metro.
We wouldn’t really recommend it for families or couples due to its close proximity to Playa del Inglés’s lively bars and clubs, but it’s a great choice for groups of friends looking for a simple, affordable hotel to use as a base on a fun filled holiday.

Ideal hotel for location , just a short walk to the beach, local bars and shops. Even though we were all inclusive you can get 'stir crazy' eating and drinking in the same place for 7 days! We visited the local Irish bars for a change and to watch the football, ideal for a real pint. The room was clean and big enough. We had requested a high floor room overlooking and the pool and we got one. The staff were friendly and efficient, always clearing up. Food was mainly good, although they could serve less fish and more roast meat. The wine was on tap, ok if you like Spanish wine, otherwise needed some soda water to help it go down. The only problem was the 15 MINUTE QUEUE waiting for your drinks at the entertainment bar in the evening, not very good especially when the entertainment wasn't really worth waiting for. Cocktails are about £1 extra. Hotel seems to cater mainly for German guests. Overall, an ok holiday for the money.

Stayed here with a friend for a few nights in the Easter holidays. Room - great size, nice location, over looking pools with balcony. Bathroom was a good size with a good shower. Pool Area - easy to find a lounger in a good spot, pool was quite cold. Food - food was what made this holiday not as good as it could have been, very repetitive. Breakfast choices were good with a range of things but we found that muffins and doughnuts would run out early and not be replaced. On one morning we found all the jam had run out to fill our croissants with. Lunch and dinner were similar with a good salad bar, different types of pizza, pasta, meat, fish and veg. Meat and fish were very dry and overcooked. Pizza was very salty. Desserts were different types of the same each night. It would also be helpful to have signs with what everything is and the main ingredients, one night the chef who was cooking the pasta had no idea what meat he was cooking with.

I've just returned from a week long stay at this beautiful hotel. From the second we set our eyes on it , we were blown away. The grounds and rooms are modern, extremely clean and very well maintained. The pool is large and there seems to be more than enough sun loungers for more guests than the hotel can hold. My mother, who's birthday present this was, is recovering from a broken leg and we were concerned that she would find moving around the hotel difficult. This was not the case. Every area within the hotel grounds appear to be wheelchair accessible, including the pool which has a ramp. She has urged me to write a "fantastic" review as all the staff were very helpful, patient and warm. The food was excellent and the alcohol was equally as delicious, with a large variety of all inclusive drinks. My mother enjoyed many ice cold "Irish Creams" by the pool and had even more glasses of cava at breakfast, also all inclusive. We stayed in a bedroom set for three, I stayed on the double pull out sofa bed, which was incredibly comfortable. The rooms are spacious and we had a lovely view out over the mountainous region behind the hotel. The staff are excellent. I can't stress that enough. There is always a cleaner, gardener or maintenance operative within sight. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The bar staff and entertainment team are excellent and we had lots of fun each and every night. I would like to give the most credit to the hard work done in the dining room each day. The chefs are clearly very talented, and make the most out of the buffet setting with fish, meat, veg, salad, soup, cheese, cold meats and a rice dish at every meal (including really delicious pizzas, fresh out of the pizza oven). The breakfasts were equally as impressive too with just as much variety. The waiters and waitresses work very hard and are always striving to please, making each meal even more enjoyable. We have one minor critisism as the showers tend to leak water on to the bathroom floor. We had no real issue with this other than a minor annoyance, but it could be dangerous if people aren't quite as careful as we were. All in all, if I could rate this hotel higher than 5 stars I would, we received an incredible family holiday for a very good price. I would compare this hotel to the likes of the Mexican all inclusive hotels, just on a smaller scale. Everyone who is linked with this hotel should be very proud of it. We will surely be returning and recommending it to anyone who will listen.
