I have stayed here on several occasions unfortunately on this visit there were renovations to floors 3 and 4 and we were allocated a room on floor 3 in the middle of a construction site. The corridor was lined with new bedroom and bathroom units. The noise although annoying was bearable for the first few days, towards the end of the week was unbearable however and we were offered another room on a higher floor which was fine. The good news is that the renovation work is nearing completion. Having said all that this is a very good hotel which is why we return regulatory The rooms consists of a bedroom and sitting room, the renovated rooms are bright and modern with a fridge and several english channels on the tv. The beds are comfortable. The big disappointment for this hotel is that there is no air condition, there is a roof fan in the bedroom and sittingroom however. There is a fabulous spa and gym free to residents. Entertainment is geared towards the older clientele. The food on this visit was definitely more repetitive, we always managed to get something however. There is a roof top quiet area with a nudist section. Wifi is free in the rooms. The Yumbo centre is a 10 mins walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will definitely be returning.

We stayed here from the 9th-23rd May 2015. Upon arrival we went to reception who checked us in and told us that we would still be able to grab some dinner as the restaurant was not closed which was great as we were hungry after our flight and they said we could leave our luggage in reception instead of going upto our room and missing the chance of food. Once we ate we went back to reception to collect our luggage and sort out the safe which was a great price at €2 per night with a €10 deposit. Wifi within the hotel is free of charge which I found great as I have had to pay for it in other hotels in the area but the signal is not the best when in the rooms. On arrival into our room we found it clean, very tidy and modern the only thing that could have been better is more than 1 pillow (ask reception or cleaning lady). The rooms were serviced daily with fresh towels and over our 2 week stay the bedding was only changed once which I find a little disappointing. Our room was on the odd numbered side which had very little sun on a morning but none on the afternoon but had great views of the ocean. Breakfast on a morning consisted of a full continental with some hot items which consisted of scrambled egg, fried egg, bacon and 3-4 different types of sausage. Plenty to drink from fresh juice to a wide range of hot drinks. We only stayed on a half board basis so cant say much about the food at lunch but dinner was a wide range, but I found the food was While we were there we had a heat wave where temperatures hit the high 40's and having a nice clean cool pool was great in order to have a break from the heat. When it came to departure check out was at 12pm which is better than having to rush back after breakfast and leave the room, we were able to use the facilities until our departure and use a courtesy room so we could freshen up before our trip home.

Just got back from a lovely holiday at the Eugina Victoria. Stayed here for a week from 7-14 May. We were concerned that it may be cold in May but there was a heat wave and the temperatures got to 46degrees!! The jacuzzi on the roof is a lovely quiet area if you want to chill out and so it the wellness centre under the hotel. We had no trouble getting sunloungers, there was 5 of us and always got 5 in a row. The staff are very plesant and efficient. We stayed in rooms on the 5th floor - lovely rooms & lovely views of the pool. Rooms are cleaned daily and beds are made. Only downside is there is no air con in the rooms, this wasn't a problem for us most of the nights as the fans were sufficient but on the last couple of nights, the temperatures stayed at 30 degrees so we did struggle to sleep. Food is fine, everyone in my party managed to find something to eat. I am a really fussy eater but I filled up with breakfast so was happy. Overall we had a fabulous holiday. Would definately reccomend people going to watch the MHT drag show. Was a top night, 3 course meal and free drinks throughout the meal & fabulous entertainment! Well worth a watch. Very happy, gutted to be home in the wet & cold England!! :-)

Stayed here 9th to 16th May and will go with the good first. The reception area , communal areas and the solarium for me were the definite highlights and were above the 3 star rating. The areas were always spotless and the staff pleasant and friendly. There was never any issues finding a sunbed (but people still put towels on beds prior to breakfast !!) , and never any issues in finding a table in the restaurant . The rooftop solarium was a nice touch for those wanting a peaceful area to relax and also had a Jacuzzi to cool down, and had a lovely breeze too. The bad was unfortunately the food, I didn't expect the Ritz, but the variety and quality was very poor and would give it a 1.5 star rating. We were half board and glad we didn't stay all inclusive as the sameness every day was very trying to the extent that we ate out for the last couple of days(first time we have ever done this) and this is the 14th visit to Playa Del Ingles. Also it stated the restaurant had a strict dress code (no vests) but people we just coming straight from their sunbeds in swim shorts and vests and nobody was apprehending them. Their is no air conditioning even though they are renovating all rooms(which ill come on to in a minute) There is no waiter service for drinks in the restaurant or the setting of tables (the first 3 star I have stayed in without this facility) Now to the ugly ,i was aware of the renovations before I left and decided to proceed as the hotel advised work was from 9am to 6pm and I aren't one for staying in the room all day so thought it wouldn't be intrusive. Little did I know I would be placed in the middle of this on the 3rd Floor. I was led to believe 2 weeks before I left that work was on 4/5 floors so didn't think anything when we arrived late at night to be given a 3rd floor room. On waking the next day found work was on the opposite corridor , so although a little disturbing , thought ok I can live with that, only to arrive back at the room on Monday to find all building materials etc outside our room. They were obviously starting on our corridor and we found out ,ourselves and next door were the only occupied rooms and they were clearly waiting for us to check out before they started on our rooms. The workmen were friendly enough and obviously told to be polite to holidaymakers but in hindsight I would have taken up the offer to move hotels prior to arrival. The cleaner didn't once go on the balcony as there was dust there from day one to when we left. Also when we did venture to use the pool, we didn't stay long as the noise of the grinders isn't what you want to hear when you are trying the relax. Overall I rate this the worst 3 star hotel I have stayed in , due to the fact which room they gave us. We did manage to see a renovated room on the 6 floor and must say was very nice light and airy but I wont be hurrying back to stay in this hotel in out next visit.
Gran Canaria enjoys year-round warm temperatures and sunshine with very little seasonal variation. Summers are hot and dry while winters are slightly cooler with some showers. Like the rest of the island, Playa del Ingles has year round warm temperatures making it a hugely popular choice during the cold British winter.
