Returned yesterday from a week AI at this hotel. We have had a ball. We were there during carnival which wasn't planned but a pleasant suprise none the less. The hotel was decorated to celebrate and the staff dressed in fancy dess on the 2 main days which added to the atmosphere. The weather was amazing the whole week, which considering some of the weather in the canaries over the past couple of months was really lucky! We did experience some sort of freak wind one morning which was literally picking sunbeds up and hurling them across the decking, but all that was in sunshine and a cloudless sky. Weird? We absolutely loved this hotel. From the smooth and thankfully speedy checkin to the lovely helpful staff and all points inbetween. We were allocated a fabulous room, on the 7th floor, newly refurbished and spotless. I realise we are fortunate as not all rooms have been overhauled but it was lovely. We actually liked the configuration of the room. The absence of the direct daylight meant that we had some great sleep. We weren't bothered at all by corridor noise, apart from the day of the parade which frankly we couldn't complain about people enjoying themselves! The bedroom itself though is open plan , it doesn't have a separate door leading to the lounge area via a hallway. I can imagine it might seem cell like with a door. The quality of the furiniishing , wardrobe etc was very good. There were loads of conveniently located plug sockets and the hairdryer is modern and placed near the mirror! Makes a nice change. The food in the restaurant was excellent and most times we could've made up several meals and had difficulty deciding what to have. It did get busy but we didn't struggle to get a table . A tip though for people wandering round with luke warm food, get a table first. It's not rocket science. Get a table, then go and get your food! Bearing in mind the hotel was packed the tables were quickly cleared and re set. There was always a good selection of everything. Loads of salad, pastas , casseroles, freshly grilled ,meat and fish, some kind of display cooking, tortilla , paella that sort of thing. There was a huge fruit selection and a cheese table to die for! Breakfasts were equally good. Fresh omelettes, eggs done all ways in fact all the usual breakfast fayre and more besides. There was fresh juices to add to your cava for a Buck's Fizz and for the more hard core vodka for your bloody Mary's, everyone's favourite breakfast beverage! One of the lovely things we appreciated was the availability of bottles of wine for our table at dinner (or lunch) rather than the typical all inclusive glass at a time ! It made the dinning experience all the more pleasant. Also the lunch in the poolside bar , especially the steak was fabulous! The pool and gardens were spotless . Yes there was the usual reserving going on, but we never struggled to find 2 in the location we wanted. It's huge! The wellness centre is amazing. It's such a treat and totally complimentary. I just don't understand why the hotel hasn't got more stars. Maybe if we hadn't had such a good room or had struggled to find a sunbed or if it had rained we might have thought differntly. We loved everything about the place and would go back in a heartbeat!

Stayed here with husband and 17 year old daughter in mid February. Our first experience of an all-inclusive holiday and we were a bit apprehensive. We really enjoyed it. The food was of a high quality - nothing to worry about. Loads of choice and a varied menu. Three choices on where to eat: main restaurant which could get busy at peak times; pool snack bar which had a fairly limited choice but really friendly service; and the outside cafe/bar which did a full menu with table service. The food here was great although the service could be a bit inconsistent. Facilities and space in this hotel were superb. Great choice of areas to lounge or sit meant that we never struggled to find sun beds and the place never felt cramped although it was fully occupied the week we were there. Lots if sports and activities: pool, indoor pool, squash court, table tennis, basketball, games room with air hockey and pool tables. Really good for all ages. Wi-Fi was a bit of a hit or a miss - best when inside the cyber cafe. Entertainment was hilariously bad! Didn't take away from our experience - it was so bad it was good! Rooms are well designed and very functional. No extra frills though! The hallways are pretty Spartan too. All very utilitarian, I thought. Maybe that's typical in Gran Canaria though? All in all, we had a lovely time. Didn't explore much if the surrounding area other than the awesome beach! Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quality hotel. .

my wife and i visited this hotel around three weeks ago, the service is really really good, the place is clean, controlled, quiet at night and overall spot on. the staff are fantastic to be honest. the wellness suite is really relaxing, the only problem is that we are not really proper sauna savvy so we were a little concerned at first when the majority of people were whipping their kit off to use the sauna but soon got used to it, its quite funny but not taking a towel into the sauna to sit on is considered a crime but naked pensioners is the norm lol. the whole experience of the wellness suite elevates this hotel to a higher place than its ratings on its own. the food was never a let down at all and was adequate at every meal. we will definitely return to this hotel
Gran Canaria enjoys year-round warm temperatures and sunshine with very little seasonal variation. Summers are hot and dry while winters are slightly cooler with some showers. Like the rest of the island, Playa del Ingles has year round warm temperatures making it a hugely popular choice during the cold British winter.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
