Me and my partner stopped a week here at Corona Roja in September 2013. Although it was a cheap holiday and we were happy at the time we have since been to cheaper places that have turned out 100X Better!! Our hotel room were cleaned ONCE!! Throughout the whole week we were there! Floors were absolutely filthy! We have to lie towels down by the sides of the bed so we could wipe our feet before getting in bed!.. the only good thing I can say about it is the location it is in is good and close to the beach and pleasantly quiet. We spent a few hours chilling round the pool which weren't enjoyable as we were put off going in the pool as it looked a bit grubby, I don't know if a lot has changed in the last two years since we went but if you want a clean hotel with a nice pool don't go here.

We spent June here and, while it does what it says on the tin, a lot of things exceeded our expectations. The walls of the room were well insulated so we heard no noise from our neighbours. We enjoyed amazing views of mountains to our left, the sea to the right and the lovely pool and gardens below. Tip: take a travel kettle and there's a list of things you can hire cheaply at reception. For instance padded sunbed mattresses for 3 euro a week. The room was small but adequate and was kept very clean. There are plenty of sunbeds and a ramp into the water of the pool which was welcome when i hurt my back. The design of the inside public areas was quirky if random. The roof terrace offers spectacular panoramic views and you can book the jacuzzi up there. Taxis are reliable and reasonable and you can get one to Mercadona - the cheapest supermarket. Tip:take you flight bag and stock up, it's gloriously cheap. If we went again, and we wouldn't hesitate, we would hire a fan for the room. Totally loved it.

Was worried about going to this hotel after reading all the bad reviews, but I still went there as it was the cheapest. Stayed for 11 days and hotel is located right on the beach and close to everything, which was convenient. In the hotel, there is a very nice outside pool and sun beds, everything is clean. The room was also very clean, can't complain about anything. Room was cleaned everyday. The staff was also very nice and friendly, would happily help out, smile and mannered.

Went there with an open mind and when we got there we got a 2 bedroom apartment instead of a studio.... result. room was spotless and enough storage for clothes etc. Food was good, was in a 4 star last year and the food here is a lot better. One big thing for me that let this hotel down was there is no entertainment at night time whatsoever yeah its a 2 star but could have a bit music on outside while you sit and enjoy your drinks etc. Would still return but would be good if there was a bit music or something so your not forced to go elsewhere. We were all inclusive but would not go again due to having no entertainment and having to eat out/sit in other bars for some entertainment
