We had a fantastic holiday. we would definitely recommend this hotel and would return again. Check in was very quick and staff were very friendly. We arrived early so our room wasn't ready, we were given our All inclusive bands to go to the bar or have lunch and our room was ready in 30 mins. We had a throughly enjoyable stay and couldn't really complain. There are only two small negatives The Wifi is very limited, there is none in the rooms or by the pool. You have to sit at the reception area and even at that the wifi often has very poor connection or little coverage. Also the location of the hotel isn't great. It is very far away from everything, there isn't a shop close by or anywhere you can really go for a stroll or walk to. However as we were AI this didn't really bother us and a taxi was only €3/4 each way if you wanted to get out and about. There is plenty at the hotel to keep you busy and we wanted a nice relaxing holiday. The evening entertainment was pretty good, some of the shows were entertaining. We did a few trips while we were there and there is loads to do in Gran Canaria, plenty to keep you busy. The bus service was fantastic. It was free, always bang on time and there are regular times to and from Maspalomas and Playa Del Ingles. The bus collects you at the entrance to the hotel and only takes a few mins to get to Maspalomas beach. We used this free service almost everyday. We much preferred Maspalomas, it's a lovely, well kept beach. I didn't like Playa Del Ingles at all. We did walk from PDI beach to maspalomas a few times and it was a fabulous walk all along the beach, it took us about an hour and a half, strolling along. Bungalows are lovely, grounds are fantastic and very well maintained, they are spotless and there is always someone working on them and cleaning around. Our rooms were cleaned to a very high standard every day. If we were in the room when the maid service arrived they would always come back later. The bungalows were surrounded by lovely gardens and a table and chairs to sit out in the evenings. These would be lovely for families and all bungalows were very close to the pool/restaurants. Ours was. In the 200s and you could see the pool from our door and walk around the corner to the restaurant. The food was great. Huge selection of food, variety all the time, meats cooked every evening while you wait or you can eat from the buffet. Two nights a week there was a BBQ also. Drinks were served at the table during dinner in the evenings. There was a pool bar and entertainment area next to it where you could also have your meals. Unless it was very busy we ate all our meals outside by the pool which was a big plus for us. The price was fantastic for the quality and quantity of the food and drinks. We were never long waiting at the bar for drinks. We have stayed at other AI hotels were there would be long queues and you could be waiting 15/20 mins for a drink. This was never the case at this hotel. They weren't very strict with the two drinks per person rule either, which was great particularly so that only one person in the group needs to go to the bar at any one time! There was no problem bringing drinks back to the room also and they even offered take away cups. The pool area was lovely, with plenty of sunbeds and soft double beds. The was also a pool with jets and a jacuzzi for relaxing. We didn't spend much time at the pool as we went to the beach or on trips most days. The staff in reception, particularly Miquel were very friendly and helpful. We had a few incidents while we were there ( nothing to do with the hotel) and they couldn't do enough for us. Lucy, the entertainer is brilliant, fantastic with the kids, bundles of energy and so friendly to everyone. Overall we had a fantastic stay at Suite Hotel Jardin Dorado and would have no problem recommending this hotel and we will hopefully be back soon.

Lovely, air-conditioned suite with a good TV and sofa area, also a table and chairs outside to sit and have a drink in the evenings. Nice big pool and plenty of sun beds. There were great free bus links to the local beaches and towns which was really great. The food was lovely as well. Good variety and well cooked. Nice friendly staff and good service. However, the children's evening entertainment was during dinner so there was no avoiding it and it was annoying as it was the same irritating songs every day and every night. There was also kids music during the day by the pool so no avoiding it there either. Also the local area is literally just beaches, no activities or anything to see unless you hire a car.

Arrived at the hotel at 9pm to be told there is no rooms for my wife and my 9 month old baby. After traveling from Dublin this was hard my daughter was tired and hungry we were met by a gentleman at the reception who could not speak English. Low cost holidays blamed the hotel with the reservation which I think is bull jardin dorado had another place booked and sorted out for us which was lovely getting there at 9:45pm. Major rush to get the baby bathed and cleaned before dinner finished at 10pm. My first day in Jardin Dorado has been ok air con broke 3 times in 1 day. But the as soon as I call reception there is a gentleman at my door within 5 mins that service is superb. As for the gentleman at check in this morning a gent. Bar staff during the day a bit ignorant. Over all a great place for a family. Grounds very well looked after. Keep updates as I get on.

Really sad to write this review, but think it is only right that other people know how bad this hotel is. My family and I stayed for 2 weeks at this hotel. I will be fair and say the hotel was clean, maid service every day and clean towels for pool. Food was fine and could be healthy as lots of vegetables and fruit available. Ok now the not so great! My children ended up with sore eyes, itchy skin and stained/discoloured swim wear from the pool. This was caused by too much chlorine/chemicals being added to the pool. My son had to have an antihistamine after being in the pool it was that bad. We even saw chemicals being used around the poolside whilst people were swimming!! The water was cloudy and you could not see the bottom. Reception and managers never interested when we complained. The staff were very rude and ignorant, you could be waiting a long time for a drink at the bar as only one person serving and even then they would serve someone else as it was obvious anyone English were the last to be catered for!!! Overall this is not a 4 star hotel. My advice is if you are looking for a pool holiday go elsewhere, we spent most of our 2 weeks avoiding the pool. Very disappointed as we were so far away from the beach we had to get a taxi every day.
