Car'lotta French!.. Dissapointing

23 April 2015

We paid over £500 per person for 7 nights at Elba Carlota hotel where Thomas Cook advertise as a 4* Hotel, when in fact the poor service from bar staff, constantly dirty and occupied restaurant...

I loved this hotel we got it on an easyjet hols for 100PP package. Its a 5-10 min walk to the metro but a lovely walk seeing some of suburban Italy (its nice), the a 10 min train ride into venice making it all the more special the train going over the river to arrive. Cheap only like 2 euro return and very regular trains up until late night. The rooms are small, the rooms are dated but there cosy and comphy bed, theres a television and a nice clean bathroom all shower items and a powerful shower/bath. breakfast is fantastic we were late risers the lady couldn't do enough to support you with whatever food items you wanted and regulary checked you are satisfied. Also blinds blacked out the room when shut so got a great nights sleep, no noise in or around hotel. Reception was grumpy but if that bothers you, get used to it they work long hours and face contstant rudeness. It was great. if you want 5 star stay in central venice, if you want local, cheap, good breakfast, comphy bed and clean room by all means stay here!

The hotel itself is quite good, and I got a room that was supposedly smoke free, but there was some residue odor from the past. The staff were quite helpful all the time and quickly switched me to...

The hotel is quite cheap but the quality is even lower than the price. There are many very affordable hotels today that are excellent and offer amazing service at that. This on is just bad. The rooms are in a poor state, everything is quite old, the hallways are falling apart, the breakfast is almost non existent and the staff just does the minimum they must. They charge for parking, but tell you to be aware not to lave anything in the car as it is not safe??!! And there is a dog in the parking lot that may scare you, but is apparently not actually dangerous ...

Beautiful hotel 1st class the staff are very friendly entertainment good, if you have children no need to worry about them they are so well looked after day and night. The staff don't bother you to...

We were booked to this hotel using a deal we bought using tourcentre.co.uk(avoid these also) so didn't check tripadvisor first big mistake. The area this hotel is in appears run down so not a great first impression. The good things first the receptionist was helpful, and the shower was powerful, thats it. Bad things, you could go on forever, angle grinding and drilling from 0930, breakfast was rubbish some bread, cheese slices, museli, yogurts miserable looking waitress, sink tap dribbled, shower head away from wall. Basically the hotel is in desperate need of renovation, run by chinese so maybe this is something to do with it. We only stayed for 2 nights most most of the day/night we were in venice mainly to avoid going back any longer and I would have checked out and got another hotel. Do not stay here its crap. I dont know how its a 3 star its terrible, once again don not stay here you will regret it.

Very enjoyable holiday just a few niggles

20 April 2015

Travelled there for Easter week, We had booked 2 rooms and the travel agent had requested interconnecting rooms - apparently they don't exist, you have to book what they call a junior suite. So we...

I have stayed in much better hostels, the room smelt disgusting. There was mould and damp around the windows, very small rooms. Shower was dirty with tape wrapped around the top in an attempt to fix it, would not recommend.

Remember that sunscreen on holidays in Caleta de Fuste as Fuerteventura enjoys wonderfully hot weather in the summer, peaking at 30° Celsius in July and August. Due to its location, Caleta de Fuste receives a north-easterly wind that will be welcome if you’re not an avid sun fan! If you feel like heading on holiday to Caleta de Fuste outside of the summer, then the autumn months also enjoy good weather. February enjoys temperatures of around 23° Celsius, so even then you’ll still go home with a good tan!
