We have just returned , firstly the rooms are a typical hotel room , good size lcd tv , plenty of space , kept clean , no complaints , secondly food , breakfast the best meal , full English to continental , lunch and dinner the same but good choices , self serve on drinks , this hotel is luvly , the staff really do workhard special mention to gisela and aziz these two were always friendly and made you laugh , the staff that work the dinner room don't bother to talk to you and we found them quite pushy by trying to get us to move tables which we didn't , this was the only problem we had at risco , the location is amazing , restaurants , crazy golf , marina , beach all within a stunning 10 min walk ,

Have just returned back from this hotel for a week all inclusive . Having read the reviews before I went I think people are forgetting that this is offically rated as 2/3*. I agree the rooms are slightly dated but very clean. As for the food it was different every day and there was plenty of choice including local dishes and plenty of fresh fish that was cooked fresh. There was also fresh salads both dinner and tea time.I agree the buffalo bar has no atmosphere but the staff were very helpful and polite, especially Gisele, The hotel does state that there is no entertainment on the all inclusive so not sure why people are moaning about this. The kings head is an ok pub but the bar staff do hog the mikes all night. Only went once but you can use there wifi free as the hotel does charge, which I feel they shouldn't. Note to people if there are paying for a late checkout , which is 20 euros per room, your all inclusive band will have to be handed back at 12.00 regardless which wasn't explained but when we complained they did return how money. As for the pool it is cold but again they do warn you and when you are boiling it is lovely Overall I would go back and think this is great value for money and if they had money could easily be upgraded to a higher star.
