- Very helpful friendly staff. - Clean & tidy rooms and pool area. - Good breakfast, lunch tends to be better than evening meal. We ate out a lot on a night. - Snacks available when not meal times. Luna ice cream parlor also good. - Good drinks selection on all inclusive. - No entertainment and quiet bar on a night, closing at around 12. - Expensive wifi (unless near the Luna bar, password lunablue2014. Or near Kings Arms). - Enough sun beds but quite a few broken. - Two pools. - Walking distance of lots of restaurants. Kobe Steak House recommended. - Beach 15min walk.

We booked this hotel as a last family holiday. (the kids are looking to go with pals now) We went self catering as thats what we prefer. Eating out in local restaurants is much more our thing. Upon arrival we were informed that only 1 of our 3 rooms was ready and would have to wait an hr or so for the others to be ready. Check in time is 3 and we arrived at around 2 so expected a small delay. We popped our bags in the room and went to a local bar for a drink to wyle away the time. The rooms are clean and spacious, albeit, in need of a freshen up, but on the whole, lovely. All had sea views and what a view. Can't comment on the food as we were sc but we did eat in the terrace restaurant at the back of the hotel and we all rated this meal the best of our stay. The tapas is to die for. A short walk to the beach, which can be reached by either along the coastal prom or thru the town itself. A nice little harbour area with some nice cocktail bars and jetskis if you like that sort of thing(which my son and step son did) is at the end of the coastal walk or if you're a walker, carry on past the main beach and you'll come across a smaller beach near to the Antlantico shopping centre. For self caterers, there's plenty of Hiperdinos about. Worth seeking out the larger one in town but the one near the hotel is adequate enough. It seems that most of the poor reviews are from All Inc bookers but am finding some of the negatives a little picky. Don't be put off by this, as the hotel is a fantastic base and go out and eat. It's not expensive to do so and you'd be missing out on the charm of the multi cultral bars and resturants. I and my wife do loads of review checks before we book and were pleasantly surpised with this hotel. And as an added note; There's a picture on here showing 2 loungers in a pool. It doesn't state that they are actually supposed to be there as part of the hydro pool. It's giving the wrong impression, which we think is unfair. I could waffle on and there's so much more i could post but if you want to know more, ask away and i'll be brutally honest, as i think the hotel gets a bit of a rough deal.

We stayed in Dorado Suites in July 2015. We found it to be a great location for a family break, located beautifully on the seafront with beaches nearby. Rooms were very well laid out with separate double for adults, separate beds for the kids and a beautiful balcony view. There was a good mix of nationalities in the hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful. Caleta de Fuste is also a great centrally located hotel to tour the island from.

On arrival we were told our room wasn't ready and to come back to reception in a couple of hours. When we finally got our room it was spacious and clean it also had Sky tv (bonus) no .......you had to pay €10 to hire the remote control. The pool area was clean but had to be an early riser for a sun bed. The food was another story.... Fish for breakfast! Fish for lunch! Fish for dinner! They even put fish on the pizza and in the pasta sauce!! You often had to wait for chips as that was the only potato served! Beautiful fresh fruit (uncovered) hence lots of fruit flies! We ended up eating out 8 nights out of the 11 we stayed!!!Entertainment was non existent (even though advertised around the pool and bar area) There was only 1 bar for all inclusive guests where the atmosphere was drab and non existent! The 2 other bars on site had entertainment but you had to pay for drinks (erm ...... we payed for all inclusive) The toilets in the pool/bar area never had soap and are in desperate need of a makeover and a good clean!! Such a shame really as they have the facilities (i.e. a stage just gathering dust) to make it a hotel packed with fun and entertainment. I can't fault the staff as they went out of their way to be friendly, funny and helpful) this is our 1st experience of all inclusive and may possibly be our last!! First impressions last!!!
