This is my first ever review I trip advisor but I'm a great believer in giving credit where it's due We are a family of 3 just returned form the Barcelo we all had a great holiday lovely hotel - good food - great weather.- and lovely place. Clientele was just right . Another bonus only 10 minutes from airport I've never been one to go back anywhere but I'm seriously considering next year. Great holiday haven't been so relaxed in a long time.

I have just got home from visiting the Barcelo Fuerteventura Thalasso Spa. I can definitely say I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this lovely resort. The resort itself is next to the beach which is small but clean and tidy. The pools at the hotel were big enough but were salt water pools. The salt water wasn't too bad but still stung ur eyes and didn't taste too good. If u like going in the pool and hate salt water, this is not the place for you. My home for a week was in a deluxe room which was nice and modern. I wouldn't quite call it a deluxe room but had a lovely view. the restaurant was big and the food was lovely. The waiters and waitresses are hard working and are always working their socks off. A negative if you are half board is you have to pay for your drinks with the evening meal. The reception staff are helpful and speak good English. The hotel is based in a nice place with lots of shops around and a eurospar in the shopping centre a 20 minute walk away, there is also a mcdonalds there. The pieros music bar is a good atmosphere at night with shows on. Me and my family enjoyed this holiday alot and i would recommend this to familys wanting a good resort.

We have just come home from a 2 week stay. The hotel is very impressive and the grounds are stunning and clean. We stayed in rooms 2107 and 2108 these were very accessible from all areas of the hotel and we had a lovely view of the pool and beyond. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfy. The food at the hotel is plenty and lots of choice. The snack bar is also good. There is plenty of choice of drinks too and the waiter service in evening is a lovely touch. The main thing about this hotel is the staff especially the kids club and the entertainers. Before we went I never thought my youngest would have stayed in the kids club but we couldn't get him out. A big mention to Jade, Catia and Irene who were amazing with our 2 children. The shows in the night are really good especially the ones that the entrainment team put on I really don't know where they get their energy from!! The location of the hotel is also fab with shops beach and harbour near by. We hired a car for 2 days which was brilliant. We drove down to the Oasis park and my daughter and husband swam with the sea lions this was well worth doing. We also visited the north of the island there were some lovely shops there. I would Def recommended this hotel and would not hesitate to go back.

Came back a week ago and already think of going back next year. Great reception even though some the reviews stated otherwise. Arrived with almost a full coach load of people, but had no trouble checking in and going to our room. (Arrived early evening) Rooms: We had adjoining rooms on the second floor of block 1, with the balconies facing the kids area. For the amount of time spent in the rooms they were more than adequate, huge queen sized bed (we want one) and very comfortable double sofa bed. excellent pillows and bedding. Good sized bathroom and sink area, only slight downside was our bath leaked from the seal and the floor could get quite wet. The only recommendation we could think of was to get better air conditioning as it wasn't very good, cooled the room down if left on all day but soon heated back up when everyone was in there. Cleaning: Rooms cleaned everyday with a deep clean every 2/3 days, had no complaints on this unlike some other reviews, toilet was cleaned everyday with toilet bleach added after, toilet rolls topped up everyday and towels changed as required (just put them on the floor). Food: Fantastic! If you don't come of the restaurant full and satisfied then there is something wrong with you. They catered for everyone, Pizza and pasta section, freshly grilled meat and fish, vegetable selection, kids section, a different paella every day ranging from shellfish to goat. fresh salad bar and cold meats and fish with a range of fresh breads. Desserts were excellent with fresh fruit and a selection of ice creams. Drinks were to order and waiting staff 9/10 were very friendly and helpful. (And to the person who complained about the chicken donner kebab that was on one night and the lack of Spanish food, and the "soggy" chips, nobody forced you to have these, you don't go away to eat chips, the hotel was cleary making every effort to make all of their guests happy). Breakfast: Excellent variety at breakfast from fresh fruit, pancakes, pastries and hot foods. Fresh coffee bought to your table and a variety of freshly squeezed juices. Pool: Very clean pool area, loads of sunbeds, yes the pool is salt water but you soon get use to it, pool could feel a bit nippy when first getting in but you soon get used to it, the pool isn't heated so the hotter it is outside the colder the water with feel. Bar areas: Reception bar open all day and is generally a quiet place to have a drink during the day until the entertainment starts in the evening. During the evenings the area is served by several waiters so there's no need to go up to the bar. Pool bar is help yourself during the day including a small snack buffet which is open from 10-5pm. In the evenings this the quieter area with occasional live music acts. Bar staff excellent and very generous with their measures. Entertainment and Activities: Plenty of activities on offer for all ages however we didn't partake in many but the ones we did were well organised and well lead. Anything from the kids club to sports to lessons in Thai Chi. Evening entertainment included a mix of dance and musicals (musicals were mimed but very entertaining). Shout out to Robbie (Gok Wan) and Jay Jay, who seem to be the life and soul of the party. Local Area: There is a small strip of shops just outside the hotel with a slightly larger complex a ten minute walk away. Plenty of restaurants including Fados Rock Steakhouse, which boasts a special meat mix grill of which any carnivore should try. Just a short 5 minute walk away is the harbour offering a small array of restaurants and bars and various activities including water sports and swimming with se lions. Oasis Park: About 40 minutes away on the coach is Oasis Park a huge zoo set in the mountains. An excellent day out for all ages with attractions such as feeding giraffes to the sea lion show, which was the highlight of the day. The day can be remembered with photo opportunities with sea lions and lemurs amongst others. Definitely worth going. All in all a brilliant two weeks away relaxing, if your looking for nightlife this isn't the place but if you want to relax and enjoy some good food and chilled atmosphere this is definitely the place. Would recommend to anyone and we will be going back.
