Great Hotel + location within easy walking distance to harbour + nice bars we normally stay all inclusive that has at least 4 restaurants so a little apprehensive that this hotel only has one however i have to say the food was excellent probably the best we have ever had.down side you have to pay 2 euros for fresh beach towels which is unusual also there is a dress code for lunch which we have never experienced before which we found unacceptable

what a wonderful hotel, staff, location and excellent food daily, made a great holiday with some winter sunshine to boost you up. On arrival at the hotel we were showed to our room, which was clean bright and with a great sunny balcony. A bottle of bubbly, strawberries and chocolates were delivered to our room for our anniversary, which was a lovely touch. The food was amazing every meal was different, and of a very high quality, we will be returning.

We stayed at the Barcelo 3-13th June and thoroughly enjoyed it. We arrived at 12.30 pm and although there were quite a few people checking in, we were attended to very quickly. Our room, 3132 was ready straight away, we did have a sea view but that didn't bother us as we only wash and sleep in the room anyway. The room was spacious with a lovely shower, fridge, TV and very comfortable beds. Be prepared to put on a few pounds as the food here is amazing, the best I have had. So much choice it would be rude not to try everything!! The hotel itself couldn't be better situated, literally just off the beach. Sitting at the poolside bar looking out at the sea, what more could you want? The real gems of this hotel are the staff. Everyone made us feel like friends rather than guests, the waiters st the poolside bar, especially Omar made us laugh loads. The restaurant staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble and the restaurant manager Carlos was absolutely lovely always a huge smile on his face and time to make you feel special. I cannot praise this hotel enough and would urge anyone who wants a relaxing holiday, good food and company, to book yourself here. We will be back xx thank you xx

I have just come back from a week at this hotel, and enjoyed every second of it! The three of us (26 year old females) were all in agreement that it is one of the nicest hotels that we have stayed at. Our flight was delayed by an hour which meant that we missed dinner. Checking in, which took minutes (no lack of staff as previously noted.. there were four staff on reception to deal with the check ins). They opened up the restaurant for us after hours so we could get something to eat. We then went up to the main bar and had a couple of cocktails. One of the barmen also came over to us at 11pm to explain the all inclusive ended then, but he would serve us one more before they'd have to start charging. Although we knew this to be the case, I thought it was great that he took the time to let us know. Our room: 2240 was lovely. We booked a standard room to sleep three people and couldn't fault it at all. The beds were comfy, even the sofa bed which had been additionally set up. We all loved the desperate shower/toilet room to the vanity units which meant we had so much space to get ready in the evening! Not entirely sure why people are grumbling about lack of tea/coffee facilities. We had a kettle in the room. Yes it doesn't come with anything but grab sachets from breakfast.. Not difficult! We had a fridge as well with complimentary bottles of water in it. Housekeeping/cleanliness: our room was incredibly clean. We had our towels changed every day. They are white, soft and fluffy (unlike some towels you have on holiday). The general cleanliness of the hotel was brilliant as well. They had staff walking around poolside throughout the day picking up the guests litter. The food: can't really fault it for what it is. I don't get why so many people complain about the lack of variety when there is so much! Breakfast - endless amounts of food catering for everyone. There is a massive variety of teas on offer from English to herbal teas that I haven't even heard of! There are several coffee machines so I didn't even witness anyone waiting for hot drinks. Endless amounts of fruit, bread, yoghurts, cereals, cooked meats, cold meats, fresh omelettes made to order. There are also fresh juices and smoothies which were lovely. Lunch/Dinner - again endless amounts of food. Fresh fish, meats, salads. We had ribs and veal cooked fresh, along with endless choices of pasta. We mainly ate in the Aloe bar as we weren't that hungry during the day, so chose to have a toastie and salad instead. You can order basic drinks included on the all inclusive as well which ranged from wines, cava, cold drinks and beer. Poolside: there are plenty of sunbeds for all of the hotel guests. We didn't have an issue with people reserving sunbeds with towels, there was still plenty of room especially for the three of us together. We managed to get sunbeds in front of the pool by block 2/3 every day. So definitely not an issue as people made out. We chose to go outside of children's holidays as well so maybe it's an issue during holidays but it wasn't when we were there. The pool is salt water and a little bit chilly at first but swim a couple of strokes and it warms right up. The pools are shallow as well, at 112cm. The "kids" pool by the Aloe Bar is a bit warmer and there is an open jacuzzi in one corner. Beach: we only visited the beach once during the day. It wasn't too crowded and there were still plenty of sunbeds free. Although I believe you have to pay €10.50 for that and a parasol for the day. The beach is a little stoney but nothing that a bare foot can't cope with. The sea was nice and warm. Entertainment: the only entertainment we witnessed was the Lion King which was brilliant!! Having seen it on two occasions at the Mayflower and Plymouth, I thought for a hotel production, it was brilliant! They mine, but in my opinion that is better than having people who can't sing doing a production. Surrounding area: the hotel is set in a really nice location. Exit towards the beach and take a left to the harbour. We found a lovely restaurant called El Camarote where we ate twice. It's a lovely location where we sat and watched the sun setting. Towards the front of the hotel, literally cross the road and walk straight up, is a great Indian called Fusion 22. You even get a free jug of sangria at the end of your meal! Overall, a brilliant holiday at an excellent hotel. I'm not one for returning to hotels or even countries, but if I came back to Fuerteventura then I would definitely come back here! 10/10!!
Remember that sunscreen on holidays in Caleta de Fuste as Fuerteventura enjoys wonderfully hot weather in the summer, peaking at 30° Celsius in July and August. Due to its location, Caleta de Fuste receives a north-easterly wind that will be welcome if you’re not an avid sun fan! If you feel like heading on holiday to Caleta de Fuste outside of the summer, then the autumn months also enjoy good weather. February enjoys temperatures of around 23° Celsius, so even then you’ll still go home with a good tan!
