we enjoyed our stay and the staff at the Hotel were absolutely wonderful.the location was brilliant and easy access to the town centre was certainly convinient. We would highly recommend this hotel. the swimming pool and the pool area was well maintained. The restaurants and particularly the waiters and waitresses were very polite and friendly. The singers especially carol and the saxophone player were amazing. The evening entertainmant was very relaxing and enjoyable. The bar staff were very curtious and attentive, nothing was ever too much and they went out of their way to please us. It was clear that the staff at Jardin Tropical have a sense of ownership to the place and worked with passion to ensure the guests enjoyed their stay. I would like to congratulate the Hotel management for creating such an amazing atmosphere and for having such wonderful staff which is what makes this place so attractive and special.

Very nice hotel, with great staff. We had a very nice 2 week holiday and we will stay again. It's in a good location but quiet and not in the middle of it all. Food was ok with a limited selection on some nights but what was on offer was good quality. A nice big pool and an additional beach club pool area although this is more for the adults as the pool by the hotel is warmer and not as deep.

First impressions were great, outward appearance very nice, classy reception area. Given glasses of cava while we checked in and were upgraded to a sea view room (we had booked garden view). So off to a good start. Room. The room was clean, spacious and tastefully decorated as was the bathroom. Some people have commented on the lack of tea/coffee facilities and lack of iron in the room, the hotel will provide these facilities if you ask for them. Food. We stayed half board but actually ate out most of the time. Breakfast was the usual affair, there was lots of choice the food itself being pretty standard. We went to dinner once and decided we were not going back. The food was fairly average at best and seating arrangement confused, one couple were told by a member of staff they could not sit in a particular area as it had been set up for breakfast, he then proceeded to seat at least a dozen people in the same area. One reviewer complained about people wearing inapproprite clothing to dinner, i was more concerned with the amount of people not using the tongs to handle the food and thought their hands would suffice. We dined at Las Rochas one evening and the food was fantastic as were the prices. I feel that for a 4 star establishment the food requires improvement. The entertainment at the hotel is fine if you like cheesy cruise ship jazz type music, this is just a personal preference as it was not to our taste. But be warned if you decide to sit in the outside area ( which is very nice) for a few drinks as they are expensive If like us , you like to stay out of the sun at the hottest part of the day, you may find you cant go back to your room for a kip as the cleaning schedule seems quite hectic. I understand that occupancy levels will affect the times that rooms are cleaned but on some days the cleaner had been by 10 whilst on others it was after 3, i personally cannot relax in my room when i know the cleaner still has to do her job. As for the poor wi-fi, it was explained to us ( by someone from another hotel) that the south of the island has yet to be upgraded and that the wi-fi is pretty sketchy in this part of Tenerife. All in all we would stay here again as it is a beautiful hotel with friendly, welcoming staff, but would probably go b&b instead of half board

The reception, main pool and Las Rocas sea pool and surrounding areas were beautiful, clean and well maintained. The various bars and restaurants, Cucurruchos/Vida/Rocas, had efficient and polite staff, offering a wide variety of drinks and food. Breakfast also offered a very wide variety – but as per other posts, was disorganised and would benefit from much better table management. We stayed B&B, and can recommend the Carlos Restaurant on Av. de Colón, Molino Blanco up the hill and over the bridge, and Toro Tapas and Grill along the promenade towards Puerto Colón. Downsides to our stay were ; ineffective air con in the room, a minibar that was warmer that the room , very slow / unavailable wifi in the room, and clearly insufficient sun beds for the hotel – it was necessary to queue at 08:00 daily and reserve a bed to have any chance of securing a place near the main pool (necessary for children). Also the walls and décor of the Mimosa area are suffering from damp, and are nowhere near 4/5 star standard – as per other posts in the Average category (pictures attached) ; “Okay But With a Little Work Could Be Great” Reviewed 15 March 2015 kevinsteer Chelmsford “Mixed feelings” Reviewed 10 March 2015 Maureen G Chelmsford, United Kingdom
