Quite a big set up at the Sands Beach resort. Staff very obliging and helpful in everything. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very well maintained, the ones down beside the beach are fabulous with acres of space. There is plenty of space for the kids to play and the beach is super for all ages. The bars are reasonably priced and a good selection of drinks available and have entertainment on regularly. The supermarket on site is very expensive, you can stroll 75 yards down the road to a supermarket which stocks almost anything and is much cheaper than the hotel. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from within a short distance to half mile stroll of the hotel and most are fine with a good selection of foods and drinks. The square is a very popular place to wind down in with plenty of choice. As a location the hotel is at the end of the resort which is not a problem if you enjoy a stroll. the only downside were the supermarket prices but we could live with that.

We first stayed here about fifteen years ago as part of a timeshare deal and although nothing has changed much it is still a very good complex, although possibly a little outdated. If you are looking for somewhere for families with children, (at least three out of the six areas have childrens pools, playground swings, slides, etc), or for the more athletic type (eight lane swimming pool with coaching and sports bike hire for tri-athalon training) this is the ideal resort. We have only stayed in a superior room and have found that this caters for everything that we need for a self-catering holiday. Whether you are looking for a busy or quiet holiday in CostaTteguise the Sands Beach is a brilliant choice.

This resort is absolutely brilliant for families. Every appartment either overlooks the lagoon, or a choice of two pools. There are several levels each with their pools. There is a supermarket on site. The bus is very close to the resort and very cheap. €3 per person to go all the way to Porto Del Carmen. 45minutes away. Everything was extremely clean. Cleaners in each day. All the kitchen appliances anyone would need too. Entertainment for children. Children's club all day, every day. Very quiet at night in April. Don't know how it is in high summer. Definitely recommend for families.
