Stayed for a week at UK half term in February. Resort is fabulous. Beachfront apartment was enormous, with three bedrooms. Lots of space for two adults and two teenagers. Very well maintained and...
Titles says it all really, the staff were so lovely, always smiling and always making conversation. Set out so well, with each area having a pool (although way to cold to go in, in February!) Little on site shop was great for self catering, and the bar played all the football and had fancy reasonably priced cocktails. The apartment itself was well equipped and laid out, and although clean, they definitely do need some serious upgrading (which is apparently in the pipeline). I seriously belief with a thorough upgrade this resort would be outstanding! With the weather being a little dodgy at times, the resorts free movie channel was fantastic. Rosemary's meeting is a must, pleasant and knowledgable lady. If we to return to Costa Teguise (very impressed with the whole area) I would defo stay at Sands Beach.
We stayed self-catering in Sands beach for 4 weeks during October for my Partner's 50th Birthday and had a fantastic time. We booked a Beach Front Superior one Bedroom Apartment which had ample space...
I travelled with my partner and her children of 7 and 8. We had a problem when we arrived due to the beach front room we had paid for not being ready for two days.. Hotel gave us a voucher for free dinner and free breakfast for the two days. Breakfast was ok but the dinner was disgusting.. Not sure if we hit it on a bad night but actually went and paid for it the second night.. Found one cockroach in the first room we had which was poolside, no problems once we moved to the beach front appartment and the lagoon was brilliant for the children and indeed myself to play in! Pools very disappointing due to the temperature, apparantly 3 are heated but they were freezing still. So no swimming in these for anyone, i understand the weather was terrible for the island but heated is heated. Overall i would go again but would definitely choose a different time of year to February.
The hotel is very nice and it always has been... however its starting to turn a bit old fashioned and a bit too sporty. Also there is no activities for teenagers. I also was very disappointed...
Stayed for a week at UK half term in February. Resort is fabulous. Beachfront apartment was enormous, with three bedrooms. Lots of space for two adults and two teenagers. Very well maintained and cleaned every day. Whole resort was spotless, all pool areas clean and very inviting. Food excellent in La Hacienda and Mai Tai. Staff all super friendly and helpful. Cannot fault the resort. Will definitely go back again.
Just arrived back from this is an Excellent Holiday destination but on this visit the cold weather that all the islands were having spoiled it which we can’t blame the hotel for, but we will return...
We stayed self-catering in Sands beach for 4 weeks during October for my Partner's 50th Birthday and had a fantastic time. We booked a Beach Front Superior one Bedroom Apartment which had ample space and felt like home whilst we were there. We didn't want to leave!! The apt was cleaned every day by the very friendly maid service. Although we were self-catering we did eat at Mai Tai for bar snacks a couple of times and the food was lovely and did have takeaway meals from Hacienda where we found the food very tasty too. The main thoroughfare is about 15 minutes stroll, where you will find all the restuarants/bars. There is a great choice and for the time we were there, we never found a bad restaurant and enjoyed great food. There is also a good market here on a Friday night. We went on so many trips throughout the island, which were all fantastic, but just love Sands Beach. It is so clean and the staff are so friendly and we cannot wait to go back again next year. A definite thumbs up from us.
Many people come on holiday to Lanzarote in winter due to it’s renown as a perennially sunny hotspot, with blue skies and winter temperatures averaging around 18° Celsius. It’s the summer peak that the island is famed for though when temperatures soar to around 28° Celsius. If you’re too hot, splash into the pool or get some watersports in on the beach!
