Situated at the far end of costa teguise it's a nice walk along the beach passed the 5 star Melas sultanas into all the bars and restaurants of costa teguise . Accommodation is first class with each group of apartments having their own pool . On our accommodation block securing poolside sun beds after 8. 00 am proved fruitless . On other blocks it was not a problem ( it's the british , not the Germans ) . Each accommodation was provided with one sun bed for the front of their appartment , if all was allocated 4 it would stop all the poolside reserving of beds as all rooms are just 10 feet from the pools! Drinking in the bars in the sandals resort is not advisable as prices are the dearest you will come across in the whole resort ! The beach as described in the brochure is nice but again getting a sun bed is very slim as the rooms opposite will no doubt have secured them and you will not see any body lying on towels alone ! The water around this "beach" would not be recommended for swimming in due to the colour and it looks like a stagnated swamp water ! The rooms are cleaned daily which makes a change and staff very helpful . The hotel employs a lady called Rosemary , a Irish women who works as PA for the hotel and will arrange trips out and any advice you require about the area and do's and dont's when out and about . ( you would not mess with Mary ) . I would have no hesitation in recommending this complex , go self catering , as eating out is cheap , breakfast as cheap as €1.90 abiet , after 10 when they all open . The complex has it's own supermarket , with some products cheaper and some dearer so shop around . The complex now has a half sized sports pool and any room around this would be best for sporty adults and not families as it's used just for swimming in lanes , not for frolicking kids !

Have been coming to sands beach every year and got back Monday, I changed my flights to even come home early I usually love this place but this place really does need refurbing! I Always and will always only ever book through owners direct I only like to be on specific plazas where I no beforehand where I will be! As much as they Hate you and read you the right act about its illegal it's very safe to do it! I never had any problems! Have to say around Palmeras the floor was all ripped and looked tacky! Have uploaded a pic! Montana looked a state would NOT have wanted to pay sands full whack prices and be placed there! As all flooring had been ripped up there! There was no atmosphere in Soleil bar kids club put down stairs was awful had to tell animation team to remove several cockroaches where kids where dancing! And same shows every year every week! I watch them because my son likes to see them but very repetitive now nice to see something new, beds people were getting up next door to put towels out at 6am!! As much as I love the convenience and safety of sands work is very much needed in my opinion!

The resort doesn't allow owners of apartments to take part in half of the stuff you would do if you booked with them! I find that very unfair and visitors are left feeling left out. Some staff are friendly such as SOS and nice waiters at the soleil bar however some staff come across as the opposite. The staff are strict on who swims in the Olympic pool on Verde as a hat and wrist band is needed to be worn at all times or you get asked to leave the pool however it says no inflatables and no swimming after certain times etc.. In other plazas but they don't pull people out for that! Also staff have been seen popping inflatables left outside apartments, on their patio or in the pool I believe this is to make visitors go to the shop and buy more inflatables from them!! Pools need refurbishing Yet we visit every year hoping the pools will be done up. Overall a nice place to be

Booked here as it said suitable for families and couples but this isn't true. I can see why loads of families come here as it's got great facilities and entertainment for kids but as a couple there was no chance of getting a relaxing peaceful holiday unless you had earplugs in! Having said that staff and accommodation were good and rosemary was very helpful.
