Just got back from a week's stay which I did have a lovely time. Firstly rooms are a little basic bed, shower/bath plenty of wardrobe space cleaned daily can't complain and suited our needs...
Hotel, staff, entertainment, food and rooms poor. Building needs maintenance as reception, restaurant and rooms leak when it rains. Reception staff very rude and unhelpful. Items go missing from rooms. Poolside entertainment during the day is poor and staff don't seem interested. Chips every day, cheap produce and poor quality food. Rooms look like they were put together by the council in 1970. Would be ok for a lads weekend away but that's as far as it goes. It's a shame as Palma Nova is really nice and will be visiting again, although definitely not staying here.
Went to hi minosa last week most of the staff were miserable and rude except for the cleaners and juan...their was no entertainment for adults or children what they did was hide and seek ormusical...
Just back from staying here from 27th August to 3rd September. It was cheap and cheerful but a few tweaks could make all the difference to this hotel. I did see however that this hotel might become an 18-30s at the end of the year? Rooms were basic but felt grubby and worn. We only used the room to put our heads down and were out most of the time but there were definitely areas of improvement needed (see photos). Positives *Food was very good and they had a great selection of meats, pastas, salads, fish etc and you never went hungry *Reception staff and cleaner were polite *5 min walk from the beach and shops/nightlife *A taxi to Magaluf is about €5 or you can walk in around 25 minutes Negatives * The room tiles were grubby and some cracked, there was a weird old amplifier thing in the wall (photo) which looked like it had been there 30 years which showed how dated the rooms were, some of the roof tiles in the bathroom ceiling were yellow and stained from leaks above and we did not get any replacement shampoo or shower gel sachets during our stay for some reason *Sheets were not changed once but rooms were made up every day and cleaned with strong bleach. * The pool was disgusting with a grime around the outside edge when you hung onto it whilst in the pool. This was also on the white middle 'Island ' part and was a result of suncreams building up into a way sludge... * There was zero entertainment for kids apart from musical chairs and this resulted in kids playing with the lifts( more on these later) * There were two small lifts for all 9 floors of this hotel which made it a disaster waiting for a lift to the top floors. There was a another side lift which you could get from the first floor but again these could only fit 4 people at a time before the alarm went off saying it was overweight- too many chips at dinner it seems lol. *All inclusive drink area was slow as you could only get a very small measure of spirits at a time and then had to wait around 15 seconds before you could press the button for more. If your not drinking beer or wine etc which can be dispensed quickly then your gonna be in for a long wait and annoy everyone behind you. *The wasps around the slush machine were terrible and due to the drop tray not draining properly and becoming home to around 10 wasps at a time who wanted to drink the sugar. They were also in the open food area and we witnessed wasps landing on ham and cutting chunks of it off before flying away with their meal, gross. * Unless you got up at 6am to get a sunlounger then you didn't get one. There were spare ones stacked up but most of these were old and sagged in the middle and you would have to sit in the shade. If I'm honestly it wasn't a bad hotel but I definitely wouldn't return and have had better hotels for the money that I spent
Having stayed at the Mimosa Park Hotel I can confirm my fears based upon reviews on here were completely unfounded. Yes it's a little dated, but it isn't falling apart and our rooms were spot on for...
Just got back from a week's stay which I did have a lovely time. Firstly rooms are a little basic bed, shower/bath plenty of wardrobe space cleaned daily can't complain and suited our needs, maid/staff very friendly. Food is nice, lunch menu is mainly better than evening meal but both enjoyable, breakfast has plenty of choice and again enjoyable my only suggestion is have another toaster as can get a queue and maybe a fizzy/soft drinks area on a evening. Dining staff very efficient and very friendly nice and clean. Drinks is a self service area and there can be a bit of wait between shots as machine has to refill that I would say needs a little revamp as not ideal when a queue starts forming, beer and soft drinks are constant again self serve but I think that side of it works better. Pool side you can make toasties and hotdogs which I thought was a good idea and well stocked throughout the day. Pool area as a whole is nice could have a few more 'good' sunbeds old ones are a little uncomfortable but spent many enjoyable days there. Life guard is friendly and made me feel more at ease when my children were in the pool! Entertainment needs a little more, enjoyed the pool side music but I think things like the pool side quiz could have been jazzed up a little same with water polo (nets and caps make it more organised but I'm being picky there) maybe a little more enthusiasm from a couple of the entertainment team as sometimes it was a little monotone although they weren't bad I've just had lots better on other holidays I've been on, same again with the evenings entertainment needs more and maybe more for the younger children as activities were a little on the older scale of things. Now I'm petrified of wasps and they are present however no-one I saw was stung and they are mainly around the slush machine but staff try nd keep it clean but they just come back (very weird wasps though you waft them and they actually go away not like in england very bizarre but true) maybe cured my phobia! The hotel is in a lovely location plenty of parks to play in for children nearby, 5 mins from the gorgeous beach, supermarket next door with everything you may need. Overall I enjoyed our stay I would say it's cheap and cheerful needs some improvements but nothing major oh just one must I would suggest is to get a handrail on the steps that leads to the pool I saw atleast 4 people fall down them luckily nothing serious but easily could have been as nothing to hold onto and the do become quite slippy. Many thanks Mimosa park had a good holiday some great memories made!!
the dinning room floor had food dropped on it . I told the staff but was not quick to clean it up I think this should have been clean up straight away to prevent any one slipping, also I slipped on...
Went to hi minosa last week most of the staff were miserable and rude except for the cleaners and juan...their was no entertainment for adults or children what they did was hide and seek ormusical chairs which was shocking...the food was ok and room clean..best part was the pool...werent go again
