First of all, we arrived at the hotel and the key cards we were given did not work so we had to ask the cleaner to let us in our room. When we got inside the room we found a bathroom, a dressing table and 2 beds. No kettle, no fridge, no microwave, yet we were somehow expected to self cater. We were then forced to give a 10€ deposit to have a kettle in our room, €10 is not a lot of money however, considering we paid for a self catering room, I would assume a kettle is a necessity not a luxury. On the second night of our stay, a friend walked me and 2 of my friends back to our hotel. When we arrived a very rude and rather large security guard refused us entry as we did not have a wrist band on, which were only provided to all inclusive guests. Once we proved we were in fact guests at the hotel we were then told we could not order our friend a taxi and we had to flag one one the edge of the curb at 4am. Baring in mind I am a 17 year old girl and I was with 4 other girls of similar age, we found the security guard to be very intimidating. If you are a parent reading this do not let your children stay in this hotel if they are travelling with friends as they will in no way be protected by the security guards, instead they will be told they can't come in and that they also aren't allowed to use the hotels taxi rank even if they are just trying to help somebody. Luckily we spent hardly any time at the hotel so it did not ruin our trip, however even if I was going all inclusive I will NEVER return to this hotel. The cleaning staff and bar staff were incredibly friendly and it's a shame the receptionists and security guards didn't have the same attitude.

I have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Fergus Tobago with my family (me, hubby, 2 daughters 16 and 18). The location of the hotel is perfect, it is a few meters from the beautiful beach which can be accessed from a flight of steps in the pool area. The beach has a small jetty where you can partake in different water sports, snorkelling or boat trips. The surrounding area is full of shops, bars and restaurants. If you are interested in going to the Magaluf strip, it is a very short walk away and with my daughters we had a few fun evenings there. Magaluf beach is also a short walk away and is a beautiful place. The hotel itself is a typical all inclusive hotel, basic but clean. Our quadruple room on the 2nd floor (lovely sea view) was very full with 4 beds but as we were only sleeping there it didn't cause too many problems. The bathroom had a bath and above bath shower. The tiles around the bath could do with some new grouting and our towel rail had to be put back a few times, but it was cleaned everyday and new towels provided if you wanted them. The beds were OK and the bedding was changed every few days but again if you wanted it done more you just leave your beds unmade. The air conditioning was a bit noisy but take some earplugs with you and you will be fine. The hotel staff are all very friendly and hard-working especially at the poolside bar and the dining room. The dining room has a fridge with cold bottles of water for you to help yourself to. The food was a bit repetitive but we always found something to eat and it was always of good quality. The pool area has a good size pool with sun beds around and also lots of tables and chairs to enjoy a drink from the pool bar. There are lots of choice of alcohol and San Miguel was the lager on tap (which my hubby liked) there are various cocktails and wine and sangria. There are no limits as to how many drinks you are allowed and the bar staff are all very friendly. The bar shuts at 11. As we are so close to Magaluf there are a few groups of teenagers but they never caused any problems, the entertainment wasn't great but there was music every night and you can always walk somewhere to find some. There is free WiFi but it can only be accessed in the reception area which is quite warm! In all we had an enjoyable stay, the hotel is in a perfect location and I think that the hotel would benefit from putting a bit of money into freshening up the rooms and providing more entertainment and entertainment staff to make the days and evenings more fun but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Good hotel great location, it was clean and we had fresh towels daily. However they need to improve greatly on the food. There seemed to be veal most nights. For three days in a row there was veal stew, Lunch and Dinner, so obviously reheated at all times, which raised my concerns. We also had chips on offer one morning at breakfast obviously leftovers from night before. There is only one bar at pool which can be really busy at times with only one serving, had to stand for 15 mins at times waiting to be served.

On arrival we were seen to quickly and given our room which was on the 7th floor. Lifts are not great and are really slow. There is no air conditioning in the main reception area which is one of the areas that has free Wifi so you would get very hot. First night we discovered a leak in our bathroom just above the toilet so whenever the room above had a shower or flushed the loo we got wet too. Complained twice before it was fixed. Disappointed that the room didn't have a fridge and air con was a little noisy at night when on full power. The rooms were cleaned every day and you had the option of having the bed linen changed each day if you wanted. Food was ok but not brilliant. They need to vary the lunch and dinner choices as they were the same on most days and some days it wasn't hot. As an all inclusive couple drinks were available throughout the day and evening but queues at the pool bar were often long and sometimes there would only be one staff member. There was no limit to the amount of drinks you could have but they served them all in plastic cups which we didn't really like. The entertainment wasn't brilliant in the evening. The pool was ok but if you wanted a sun lounger you would have to be up at the crack of dawn which wasn't a problem for us as we went to the beach each day. The location of this hotel was brilliant as just across the road from a glorious beach with plenty of water sports. Most of the staff were friendly.
