I visited Magaluf with my friends for a week on the 22nd of July. We was greeted by friendly staff at reception and given a room on the 2nd floor that was clean, with new towels everyday and an average clean by maids everyday. The food - horrendous. I admit that all inclusive food is not always 5 star, but there was a limited choice of mush. The only thing edible when I did try the food was chips, so every other night we ate out, which was a waste of money. We took advantage of unlimited drinks however they did come out of a vending machine which was inside a turnstile, which only opened from the barcode on your wristband which hardly worked, holding up a queue. We had aircon in the room which was a big relief after a day in the sun or a night out as the 35 degree heat was draining. But sitting downstairs to have a drink in the evening was hard to bear as there was no aircon down there, plus from the point of view of a family visiting the hotel - the entertainment was bad of a night time. Overall I would not visit the hotel again as I have wasted a lot of money where I could have spent elsewhere and enjoyed my stay, even though this was only a place to sleep and eat as I was mostly in magaluf.

Arriving at the hotel was great, we were able to pick what floor we wanted to be on and if we wanted a balcony that had the sun on the morning or evening. Definitely recommend a safe and keeping your keys on you at all times as there was a burglary whilst we were there which was announced round the pool. Daytime entertainment is great having a different activity every half an hour that got people involved and weren't pushed by the girls to do anything if they didn't want to. If you weren't up to reserve the 'good' sunbeds, you were stuck with old ones that were worn out and thin giving a lot of pain and discomfort when lying on them as you could feel the hard plastic through it. Evening entertainment was not great, repetitive games every night - needs more variety. Food could have been better - a lot of fish which was full of bones, fatty meat and no chicken! Desserts were almost inedible on some evenings. The snack bar was okay, self-serve hotdogs and toasties but no option for ice-creams etc. Drinks were good but A LOT of wasps flying around the soft drinks/slushes and would hover round the poolside due to all the cups/plates. We also noticed that dinner would be 'taken off' and not replenished at around 8.30 even though the restaurant is supposed to serve until 9pm. This meant that arriving any later than 8.00 meant that we would only be able to get the leftovers/scraps. What surprised me is that there is no option for any other drinks than water (and wine at lunch/dinner) in the restaurant. You have to go to the poolside self-serve snack bar to get your drinks to go back inside - a missed opportunity as there is a bar that is not in use within the restaurant. We also noticed that when it was 'clocking off' time for staff, they would switch off the lights regardless if people were sitting having a drink/playing cards etc both around the poolside and in the lounge upstairs. Quite rude as this would NOT be acceptable in a restaurant or if we hadn't paid upfront. We would often leave in the dark as all lights had been turned off until morning. They would also place blue plastic bags over all drinks machines, including water, so that no drinks were available during the night and you would have to pay to use the vending machines. Great location with a 5 min walk to beach and very close to other locations i.e waterparks/marineland/crazy golf and very close to Magaluf for a nights out. Overall a standard spanish 3* hotel with basic facilities. Have stayed in worse but have stayed in much better.

OK, here's a live and honest review as we are still here. On arrival greeted by a very cheerful reception(possibly manager) who explained we were on the 4th floor as I had requested a low level room, not a problem as they had lifts. Yeah they can be slow say 2-3 min wait but that beats walking the stairs. The rooms yeah are standard but the single beds are the most comfiest I've encountered abroad so no complaints there. We hired a fan but the air con DOES work contrary to some reviews. Again I'd agree a wee update in decor but it's nothing to be upset about. Daytime activities are OK, the usual quiz, football, water pool etc so if that's your thing you're sorted. The entertainment girls do their best but they're employed by the hotel so I guess they can only do so much. The female lifeguard is a pure gem. Mischievous with the water guns and plays with the kids. The food is pretty basic but there is something for everyone but bear in mind they're catering for many nationalities so give them a break. The drinks....a real nuisance with the bar code scanner but if you're patient you'll get there. The kids area is in same part as alcohol so maybe that can be looked at as their wristbands don't have a bar code to scan but the exit area is how the kids can get in. People go on about wasps, yip there's plenty of them but if people were more responsible and take their plates, empty cups to the bins they wouldn't buzz around the sunbed areas !! Evening entertainment I have to say is a let down. To be honest it's the same entertainment girls (3 of them) but it would be good for more musical acts, themed nights rather than the plain old game show types. But the girls try and do their best. Maid service is fab, very polite and are in every day. Actually we havent come across any rude staff which some reviews say so no problems there. All in all we've had a good time, would we come back ? Maybe in a few years time as we tend to do the different islands. But I wouldn't rule out coming back. Oh, it's very quiet at night, no loud and noisy parties of youngsters !

This is the fourth time I have been to palmanova and I am glad to say the mimosa park was my fourth time rather than the first or I would have never came back to palmanova as this hotel has so many faults, they change your towels and do your bed but not once while I was there the floor was cleaned, trust me on this as this is what I do for a living, our air con in the bedroom was very good (room 532) but I no there was lots of complaints from other guests, the air con in the Victoria lounge and in the dinning area was shocking every day and night with the temperature between 30 and 35 the hotel should have been ashamed of them self , food was what I expected pretty much predictable but not enough to cater for kids entertainment through the day was 98% for adults again not much for kids the kids club has been shut for 3 years now so what does that say for entertainment for the kids the entertainment team are there for 10 but start at 10,30 to 13,00 but lets not kid they don't entertain for the 2 and a half hours after they come back they play music till 2.30 even although they say they are away for lunch from 13.00 to 14.00!!!! at night in the very hot Victoria lounge the kids get some joy for 45 minutes as I said all the other places I have been to in palmanova start at 7pm to 9pm for kids then its adult time but even at mimosa the entertainment for adults is so bad after the first night when you see it for yourself we never used it again I will make this clear I did not have kids with me and I am so glad for that which gets me to my balcony to chill with a beer but did not sit out to long as the light did not work when you arrive and get your wrist band the barcode on it scans you in to get your all inclusive after my 6th day it did not work due to the fact the deactivate ours and could not use it more or less saying my time was up even although I still had 5 days to go so much for security what if something had happen to us in our room ?? I would like to say the tall gentleman in reception was very nice but was let down by the other man with glasses and grey beard with his attitude some of the cleaners after breakfast gave you a funny look making your way to the lifts while they were cleaning but what am I supposed to do when I was on the floor 5 one last thing the gate shuts at 9 pm on the dot which means if you are not capable walking up steap steps the only way to avoid this would be getting a taxi to the front door
