We stayed here as a family for a week on 23rd June. The animation team are absolutely brilliant, the food is typically all inclusive with the same options but there is something for everyone. Rooms are cleaned daily. The lady on reception is so helpful she printed off our boarding passes. The kids loved it, however on the last night of our stay two young English girls decided to abuse other guests, scream and yell, have a pool party throw sun beds and chairs into the pool. This carried on until 5 am and with numerous calls to reception they did nothing. We had 2 of our 4 children up crying. In the end I had to visit reception as they stopped answering the phone. As we didn't get to sleep till after 5 am and we were getting picked up at 8-45 for our journey home we forgot to pick up our photos of the kids at the snake night. I have emailed the hotel to ask them to send them on but never got a reply. Apart from this we had a fantastic time but it only takes idiots like that to spoil others enjoyment.

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the food is very much the same everyday. I ate so many chips I couldn't wait to get home for a proper meal. We ate out 5 out of the 7 nights we stayed. The hotel is very very noisy on an evening up until 12am! The animation team are great for the kids but I did get sick of them coming around shouting 'water polo' for adults only. The wifi you have to pay for and isn't very good it constantly loses connection. I would only recommend this hotel if you don't like to explore. We felt very trapped in the hotel! The hotel its self is very clean and the rooms are very basic, a kettle would have been greatly appreciated so that we don't have to go down 4 floors for a drink. My little boy aged 3 was only happy in the pool, the mini clubs didn't start until the age of 4 and he was very much left out. The hotel has a lot of Germans, French and English so you never know what language the person sat next to would speak but the entertainment team speak in all languages. My husband thought that one of the guys spoke like 'borat' I wouldn't go back to this hotel based on the location and the pure fact I'm not interested in playing football, archery and water polo on my holiday in that heat!! You have a lot of choose of drinks at the bar and the staff are friendly but very over worked. Finally after leaving my husband stopped moaning, this hotel was his idea of hell

This is review 1 of 2 that I am writing. First I want to express the overall experience that I had while staying here in June 2015. I went on holiday here with my other half and found that this particular hotel is a very couples and family orientated resort. Which was perfect for us but however may not be the best place for a group of people looking to party and explore loads. Location (3/5): The hotel is in the middle of nowhere really, no liveliness anywhere close and no commercial tourist locations within walking distance. However the hotel provide an excellent free bus service that takes you on excursions to playa de Palma (Arenal) which is the main beach and also to Palma, the capital. This runs everyday except Sunday but only to one of these locations and only for certain times of the day. However there is an easy to use bus service and taxi service if you didn't mind paying. They say there is a shopping centre down the road with bars and restaurants. When discovering this we found that 60% of the businesses were shut down and there was only 1 or 2 useful shops to go explore. The restaurants however looked lovely but with being all inclusive at the hotel we didn't try their food. The hotel also has a folder of trips that you can book yourself on to which get you off site for something different. Trips (4/5): We ventured to Palma which was massive and very easy to get lost, grab a map from the tourist information first and research where you want to go. The cathedral is stunning and definitely a must see if you are into that kind of thing. Playa De Palma is again massive and the beach is beautiful. Just very expensive to eat, drink and rent sun beds etc. Finally Marine Land is an amazing experience, it is very small and we found the bus times to drop off and pick up were way too long for the minimal amount to do... But the dolphin and sea lion shows were incredible and you can get very close and personal to a lot of the animals. Restaurant (2.5/5): The all inclusive restaurant is good but could be better. It is a help yourself buffet which is great because you can pick and choose what you want and then go up for more. However I might just be being fussy but it was almost always pork or fish, which is great if that's what you like... I found a lack of chicken which I love and when I did have a different meat (chicken or turkey or beef) it was very pink in the middle and I was extremely put off. The buffet is great for the first few days but then I got sick of the food and I completely lost my appetite by the end of my time staying there. I don't know whether it was because I just didn't enjoy the food anymore or whether it was the lack of change over a week period. On the other hand the bread was lovely and they had a really good salad selection. They did put on some special event evenings where they would have a themed food evening or a chef out on the floor doing carving of meat etc. These ideas were lovely. I found the desserts got very samey. It was always fruit, cake and then something else and again got sick of it by the end of the week. However this could just me being fussy but think it's a comment on the lack of change. The efficiency of the staff was excellent. They were always on top of topping food up when they got empty and for the most part were quick with the turn around of tables. The floor staff were polite but I found the chefs to be a bit abrupt and actually rudely got laughed at when asking what something was. Room (4/5): The rooms are very standard but have everything you need. Every room had a balcony which is lovely, however you may not be lucky enough to get a pool view and some views aren't as pleasant. The beds were comfy enough but we found the mattress was a little hard that I had shoulder ache from lying on it. The shower was very hard to get at one temperature and kept going hot and cold. There were definitely not enough plug sockets in the room with none around the sleeping area, my phone charged in the bathroom while my boyfriends by the front door. The cleaning service was brilliant, clean room and towels every day and nice cleaning lady. Pool Area (4.5/5): The pool looks much bigger in the pictures but it's still a nice pool, gets a lot of foliage floating on top by the afternoon but this can't be helped. They say you can't reserve sun beds except by 8:30am towels are covering 50% of them. The palm trees cause shade at 12-1ish which is nice to have a break from the sun however one side of the pool doesn't get the sun at all until this time anyway. I can't really fault the pool area other than don't sit near where they play water polo else you may end up with a ball on your lap! Haha. Bar (5/5): 90% of the bar staff are fantastic, very friendly, quick and efficient. The bar is open 10am-11pm which is amazing value for an all inclusive bar. The variety of drinks you can get is brilliant and they are also very quick at clearing glasses to keep the area clear of clutter. Lovely bar. There was also an all day buffet at the bar to snack on throughout the day, it was just a shame some of the crisps were stale. Entertainment (5/5): As I mentioned before it's a very family orientated resort and the Animation team are very on hand with the children. There are activities almost all through the day and night to entertain the children but the team have to have a break!! Activities for adults are just as brilliant, they play water polo, archery, rifle shooting, volleyball etc and then do water aerobics, yoga and so much more through the different days. The evening entertainments and shows and brilliant but get there early to get a decent seat as the pillars block your view from different points. They have guest entertainers and the animation team put of their own shows too! Not only do you have all this going on but you can go and play tennis, mini golf and giant chess (and even more)whenever you want. I think the animation team deserve so much praise! They work 6 days a week from morning to late at night and it's very rare you don't see them for more than a couple hours in the afternoon (they need to have a break). They are very welcoming and friendly. So unbelievably talented and multi lingual. Without them the resort just wouldn't be as good! Thank you to the animation team for all their hard work, I don't know how you do it and still with big smiles on your faces!! Wifi (2/5): I paid €24 for a week and found it very hard to stay connected. I was on the 4th floor in the same building as reception but would constantly lose connection! Around the pool and bar it wasn't too bad but I wasn't pleased to pay and not be able to use it that often. Check Out (4/5): On our final day we had to be checked out of our rooms by 12:00. Which was a very reasonable time. But our flight wasn't until 23:40. They provide you with a luggage room and a shower room for this situation which is good and you can still use the bar and food facilities for the day. The shower room you have to book the day before and are only allowed half an hour. Which includes getting to the room and back so the next people don't miss their slot. This service was free so you can't really complain, it just would've been nicer to have more time to freshen yourself up as it is your last and only opportunity to do so before you leave and travel home. Overall I have given them a 4/5 because I had a wonderful time, it's just nice to know all this information before going because we found we didn't get used to the routine of the hotel until our last 2 days which by then was too late. We are a young couple in our mid twenties and definitely recommend to other couples and families.
