Stayed for a week. Booked 2 rooms, arrived after midnight to be told we would be in 1 room for the first night!!!! Man on reception just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do, but we'd paid for 2 rooms?????? Had to swap rooms in the morning which meant we had to half unpack at night then repack in morning. Got given free wifi & safe as compensation. Wifi utter rubbish, attempted to use it a couple of times then gave up, so basically all we got was a free safe!! They get an additional 120 euros of our money and we get a free safe as compensation????? Thieves....They effectively took money for a room which they had no intention of giving to us. Reading previous reviews it doesnt seem to have been the first time this has happened!!!!! Not once did they apologise, couldnt wait to get us out of reception. All day snacks were a joke, stale crisps and deep fried 'things' & a few cakes. In general, staff very unfriendly with the exception of the lovely lady on reception. No fridge in rooms!!! Ridiculous!! Fridge and water should have beem included. Definitely not a 4 star hotel - beware!!!! Hotel offers barest minimum to scrape through as 'all inclusive'.

We travelled as a party of 14 ("the big family") made up of friends and families aged from 14 to 72. We had a great time and have the following comments: 1. We had to wait too long at the food counter, as there were far too many options to choose from. 2. No sooner were our plates empty, the overly-efficient restaurant staff cleared the plates away, causing us to have to get new plates in order to carry on eating. 3. The air conditioning in the bedrooms worked extremely well, causing us to have to pull the sheets over us at times. 4. There was an abundance of things for the children to do - that we barely knew they were even with us. 5. All the staff spoke English perfectly well, meaning that we completed wasted our Rosetta Stone membership. 6. We only had to dry our hands once on the towels in the bathroom, before finding a clean replacement towel appeared the following morning. 7. We wasted a small fortune on mosquito repellent, as we didn't have to use it once. 8. The clean sheets were tucked so neatly and tidily into the mattresses, that it was a struggle to get into bed. 9. The local beer and cocktails were far too enjoyable, causing copious headaches. 10. The free snacks and ice creams were far too tempting, meaning that we've all put on excess weight during the holiday. 11. There were too many scantily-clad women at poolside, causing the male members of the party to dehydrate from too much dribbling. 12. With the entertainment always finishing promptly at 11pm and the bar closing by midnight, the peace and quiet which followed meant that we didn't even need a lie in, much to the children's disgust. In all honesty, this was a fantastic week, at a hotel we were booked into at very short notice. There were only a very few negative points: no tea/coffee making facilities or fridges in the rooms, shower temperatures were difficult to control and the main entertainment room needed ceiling fans. The pool is also a little too small when the hotel is fully booked. Other than this, we would highly recommend this hotel. We found all the staff to be extremely friendly and approachable. They worked long shifts, in a variety of roles, yet still had a smile and gave the impression that they were happy in their work. In particular, we would like to praise Ivo, Toni, and Pablo, all of whom were fantastic. In addition, the restaurant manager, Candi, who went the extra mile to ensure our youngest member had a fantastic birthday meal, by organising a dressed table for us with fresh fruit, flowers and wonderful birthday cakes. The food was great - we all left very full after every meal! We would happily come again.

Hotel was very good, very much enjoyed our stay. Animacion team were fantastic. Although i had to make a review about their partner taxi service on their website, Hotelbeds. Booked a taxi there and back, on the way it turned up. On the way back we waited 40 minutes with no taxi, went to the hotel reception and was told i would get a full refund if i took the form and got a receipt from the extra taxi. 3 weeks on, and many many emails later we still haven't received any refund and we are very out of pocket over it all. They refused to pay us and were adamant it turned up, i asked for their evidence and they sent me a screenshot of the GPS, and they turned up on the wrong night!!! Was absolutely fuming, and they're still only trying to refund us for one taxi after so many weeks trying to get at least some money back! Fully reccommend the hotel, but avoid their taxi service. Horrendous end to the holiday for us and ruined the end of it having to panic into a black cab to not miss our flight.

After reading some of the unfair reviews on here I thought I would put some people at ease. As a family of four we returned from Ola Club Maioris in the 21st of July this year. The hotel is located in a fairly quiet area with a few bars down the road and a massive supermarket up the road. The vibrant and buzzing town and beach front of Arenal is only 10€ away in a taxi or you can use the free bus the hotel put on daily. The hotel is very neat and tidy with a self service area for fizzy juice etc and a curved bar for all other all inclusive drinks. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner at night with a great selection of varied food. I have two fussy kids and the ate well every day. If you like to eat healthy they have a huge amount of fresh veg and fruit accompanied by a varied selection of meat one other dishes. The rooms are clean and yes the maid has a day off (since when was someone not entitled to a day off !) The entertainment guys are fantastic and really generate a buzz during the later part of the day. Pablo was my kids favourite and my youngest now owns a teddy named after him. They have an astro football pitch (fantastic ⚽️) basketball nets, mini golf, tennis court, table tennis and a giant chess set. The two pools are fantastic one with fountain feature that goes on in the morning and and night and another large pool to accommodate more people. There are ample sunbeds and lots of places to go and hide from the sun. The sunbeds are all new and they are not the hard type so very comfortable unlike most hotels. Like I said in my title I don't do reviews but I wanted to let people know that some of the reviews on here are very unfair and for value for your money I could not fault Ola Club Mairoris. We have visited a lot of hotels and all I can say is we are looking to book up again for next year. I can honestly say I don't understand some of the reviews on here, I don't know what people expect for the money they pay to come to these hotels ! If your looking for fine cuisine and private personal service then put your money where your mouth is ! Ola Club Maioris is a fantastic typical all inclusive Spanish hotel where we go to get away from work for a couple of weeks and recharge the batteries whilst spending quality time with your family in decent surroundings without the worry or stress of having to cook or tidy ! See you next July Ola Club Maioris 🌅🌅🌅🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸👍
