I stayed here for 28 days/nights as a treat after retiring. It was the best price in town and indeed worked out with air-fare a very similar price to that paid in a Tenerife package deal for Christmas week '14. I booked flight way in advance and hotel through booking.com. A taxi from the airport costs about 27 euros. Going by bus this would cost about 6 euros (Portopi being the main connecting link where incidentally there is a quite a large shopping mall. The hotel itself is up a hill from the pueblo/s. i reckoned this exercise helped get me back into some fitness although you can get a no. 46 bus virtually from and to the door. It appears these operate ever 20 minutes. a taxi driver told me it would cost approx. 7 euros from anywhere down in the local pueblo/s (village/s.) Tourists can get a bus Bono card for 10 euros giving 10 viajes (journeys) saving 5 euros overall. I found the hotel itself clean and functional with helpful, friendly staff from the Hotel Director, Senior Ishmael right down through all ranks! I had a pleasant room all be it not too large looking out on a fine little hill range with wooded terrain peppered with different shaped buildings. It may not have been too large however it was functional and everything worked. I found the food quite good, nutritional and varied with a good salad choice in the evening. The breakfast could have been more varied although there was fruit, cereal, cold platter and a seemingly non varying usual hotel fry-up. Poached smoked fish and/or kedgeree as well would reach a higher note. The pool seemed quite fine and had a view over Palma Bay. There was a pleasant garden about the pool area and was visited by different birds including woodpeckers. You could book day and 1/2 day excursions in a travel shop just down the hill for different parts of the island. The usual pick up point was the Belvedere hotel just along the road a bit. You could also work out your own itinerary taking buses from the Ses Estacions bus station at Plaza d'Espanya the main square in Palma. To me Palma was an adventure in itself with beautiful old buildings, quaint narrow streets and of course a lovely promenade. For the best view in Palma I would suggest going up to Castle Bellver especially on a Sunday when there is free entrance into the castle itself.

The room was decent and clean and it had sea view, the staff is very, very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and quite diverse. The hotel has a very nice garden and pool and is very close to the sea. The only problem was finding coffee/drinks after 12 at night as the bar closes at 23:45. Maximum 15 mins from the airport by taxi and it costs 25 euros. Bus number 46 and 3 are also very close so you can easily visit other areas.

Rooms are fairly small but very clean, as is the rest of the hotel. The bed linen was changed although we were only there for five days. The room overlooked the bay, a lovely view. Some of the public areas could do with refurbishment, particularly the carpet on the stairs. Wifi only seemed to be available in reception or the corridor outside our room. The breakfast was adequate, as was the evening meal. The choice of snacks at the pool side bar were very limited. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is situated on a hill, so not ideal for anyone with walking difficulties. However, the stop for the local bus is conveniently outside the hotel. The fare to Palma is 1.50 euros, whilst a taxi is approximately 11 euros. All in all we had an enjoyable stay, it was refreshing to stay in a smaller hotel, and was reminiscent of hotels in Spain 30 years ago.

Stayed for week end April as a cheap break. A little worried about some of the reviews referring to the "poor quality", "same all the time", "limited choice of food". I wonder what these reviewers expect for their money and if they were in a position to review when only staying 1 or 2 nights. Here is our unbiased review - as usual - of this hotel. First check-in was friendly and efficient. Room allocated on 2nd floor with view over Palma bay. It was clean and usual size for Spanish 3* hotel. The bathroom was a little on the small size due to oversize basin and surround and 3/4 bath with shower over, but OK unless you are size 22+ (UK). The balcony was only big enough for 2 chairs. General area of the lounge, bar etc. was large with good seating. In the week there was various entertainment on 3 nights. The pool area had plenty of loungers and yes, there were some with broken adjusters, but observing some people using the good ones it will not be long before more are broken. The pool was clean and well maintained as was the rest of the gardens and grounds. There are many steps around because this hotel is built into the hillside, however has fabulous views. Now back to the dining room. Breakfast choice, cereals x 5, milk x 4, cheeses, meats, breads, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, cooked bacon, eggs x 2, mini frankfurters, tomatoes, baked beans, spanish omelette, usual toaster, juice machine, coffee, teas and machine for various coffees, latte etc. As we stayed on half board can only comment on evening meal. Every night there was a selection - usually 6/7, various mixed salads, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, corn etc., soup. Each night a different pasta dish, 1/2 meats, fish, the vegetables were lacking variety but everything edible and hot. The sweet counter had a choice of at least 8 dishes inc. fresh fruit, every night. The house wine at 8 euros a bottle was good quality. The staff in the restaurant were the most friendly and effficient had ever had in 40 years visiting Spain. In conclusion forget the moaners, those who want a "Rolls Royce" for "Lada" money and give this hotel a try. It is not a beach hotel but there are 2 small beaches at the bottom of the hill and the bus for Palma stops 10 metres from the door (no. 46). Yes, would visit again because of value for money and position.
