This is a fab place - unique it is not like a hotel more like a home from home feeling - you can even have a butler to serve your meals You also have the Four Seasons Golf course behind you and the sea in front of you and a real Mauritian Village right beside you I am going back again next month for another holiday as I liked it so much! Sylvia

A relaxing time with a unique cultural feel about this place!

Trou aux Biches is paradise on earth with it's turquoise water on a white powdery sandy beach speckled with immaculate palm trees. It's like the best advert for an idyllic beach you could imagine. This was where we chose to get married and the beach provided the perfect location. The water is enclosed by a reef which provides a safe haven from deep water which allows the most amazing fish to access the bay. The snorkelling is really something with the most colourful fish I have ever seen! 5km away you have the nightlife and liveliness of Grand Baie or for the shoppers there's the capital Port Louis with it's american style shops. Alternatively head for the plateau where you'll find the outlets with bargains in diamonds - a girl's best friend - what more could you want from a honeymoon. Whilst we were there in September we attended the Mauritian Derby - the biggest horse race in the southern hermishere. Quite an occasion which the locals enter into with gusto.

Useful Tips:

Go in September when the climate is less extreme. This is springtime and the temperature will be about 80C and feel very pleasant. Christmas is mid-summer and the heat and humidity is terrible.
