Antigua

Do I need to quarantine when I arrive?

  • All visitors are subject to health screening upon arrival, and monitored for up to 14 days. Most tourists will then be permitted to travel to their accommodation following the health screening. Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated visitors are required to provide proof of a negative PCR or rapid antigen test, submit to testing on arrival and undergo quarantine. Unvaccinated visitors must self-isolate for 14 days and partially vaccinated must self-isolate for 10 days.

What testing requirements are in place?

  • All arriving and transiting passengers aged 18 or over must show evidence of being fully vaccinated with a WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccine to enter the country. Non-vaccinated and partially vaccinated visitors must also show evidence of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken no more than 3 days before arrival or Rapid Antigen test taken no more than 24 hours before arrival. Children aged 5-17 must also present a negative PCR test taken within 4 days of their flight, regardless of vaccination status. Children under 5 are exempt from testing.

Do I need to prove my vaccination status elsewhere?

  • Restrictions and procedures can change quickly and you may be asked to demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated or provide a negative PCR test to access shops, attractions, restaurants and public transport. Please check the FCDO page below for more information.

Do I need to fill in a Passenger Locator Form or similar?

  • No. However, you will need to fill in a Health Declaration Form upon arrival in Antigua.

Barbados

Do I need to quarantine when I arrive?

  • Unvaccinated visitors will be quarantined at approved facilities (at your own expense) for a 3 days, at which point you will be required to take a second COVID-19 test on the 4th day. If your test is negative you will not be required to quarantine any further. The government aims to return results within 48 hours, although return times can sometimes be longer than this. The government recommends that you book 5 nights’ accommodation.

What testing requirements are in place?

  • Vaccinated visitors are not required to show a negative COVID19 test result, although some may be chosen at random for testing on arrival. Unvaccinated visitors from the UK must show evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than 3 days before your arrival OR of a negative valid Rapid PCR Test taken one day before arrival OR a valid Rapid Antigen negative test result taken one day before arrival in Barbados. If you arrive without a negative test you may be denied entry to the country. Additional health screening may also take place on arrival.

  • Yes, please make sure to fill in this Passenger Locator Form before you travel. Please be aware that the requirements for this form vary by destination. For example, some destinations may require this to be filled in at a specific time before travel, and some may require a printed version. Please check the FCDO website below for more information.

  • No, you do not need to quarantine when you arrive in Bulgaria.

What testing requirements are in place?

  • From 01/05/2022 all COVID-19 entry requirements for travellers to Bulgaria end, regardless of nationality and/or where travelled from. Neighbouring countries may have health requirements for entry for those arriving from or transiting through Bulgaria, including declarations and COVID-19 tests.
