Some of us like to get stuck into building an epic sandcastle, others prefer a game of beach volleyball and a few like nothing more than finding a quiet, shaded corner to watch the world go by.

I’m a bronzer..
With temperatures soaring up to 34 degrees in July, Turkey is the place to be for bronzers. Slap on the sun cream, claim your sun lounger and sit out in the bright sun to get that perfect summer tan.
I’m a burner..
The Costa Brava coastline has fantastic beaches and great weather, but there’s also plenty to do out of the sun. Explore the area’s medieval towns and castles under a wide-brimmed hat, or take a walk through the winding streets of Barcelona’s ‘La Rambla’, which will have you entertained for hours with its street dancers, musicians and cafes.
I’m a builder..
Egypt is perfect for you builders – it is home to the pyramids after all! Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada both have fantastic resorts for families and are home to some great beaches. Don’t forget your bucket and spade!
I’m a bulldozer..
If you’d rather bulldoze your way through the sand there are numerous professional sandcastle builders on the beaches of Gran Canaria, especially on Maspalomas Beach! They may have a few old ones you can bulldoze your way through.
I’m a lounger..
With stunning sunsets and peaceful surroundings, Majorca makes the ultimate holiday for a lounger. Escape for some peace and quiet in one of the hidden coves surrounding the island, or sit back on the beach with an ice cold drink.
I’m a leaper..
If you’re not one to sit still for long, Fuerteventura is the place to be for a range of water sports. Try windsurfing, jet skiing or kite surfing – or stay on dry land with a game of volleyball, football or good old fashioned bat and ball!
