Despite the cutbacks we are all having to make thanks to the recession, a recent survey from the Leeds Building Society has found that taking a holiday is still one of our top priorities.
Over 42% of adults said they would not contemplate giving up holidays, with 21% saying they are prepared to sacrifice meals out or non-essential shopping to ensure they could still go on that well-deserved break. The over 55s are the most determined to keep travelling, with a whopping 51% saying they would not deny themselves their holiday even in the hardest of times, while 34% of 18-24 year old felt the same.
