Holiday behaviours revealed
Do you dare to bare on holiday?
According to a new survey, you do! One of the top ten things we love to do on holiday is strut along the beach in skimpy swimwear, while getting our kit off all together is also high on the list, with Brits heading to local nudist beaches.
More than half of holidaymakers admitted doing things on holiday that they wouldn’t dare at home, including wearing no make-up, drinking alcohol every day and going days without showering.
We spend a long time looking and saving for our perfect holiday, so it’s understandable that so many people throw caution to the wind and do exactly what they please.
Low cost airlines rule the skies
A staggering 93m of us took to the skies with low cost airlines last year, making them the most popular method of holiday travel.
The number of people travelling with budget airlines has risen by 4% over the past year, taking advantage of more affordable travel that’s available to everyone.
To compete with the budget airline’s prices, traditional airlines like BA and KLM now offer ‘low cost’ products such as ‘hand-baggage only’.
The battle in the sky continues. Which would you rather fly with?
Most popular plane seat revealed
Do you rush for a particular seat on the plane?
A survey by leading airlines has revealed that the most popular seats are 51B/C, 52B/C, 51H/51J and 52H/52J – the four pairs located at the back of the aircraft. This may be because it allows couples to sit by themselves, with just two seats per row.
The survey also found that we prefer window seats to aisle seats, and we like to sit on the right side of the plane!
We’re known to be a more reserved nation and this research goes to show we really do like our own space, with many of us trying to bag seats away from other passengers.
As for people preferring the right side of the plane, this may be down to superstitions. Previous research revealed odd numbered seats, especially row 13 are often the last choice for fliers.
