Do you switch your phone off on holiday?
Looking at the latest research figures, probably not.
A recent survey has found a whopping 76% of people in a management position check their mobiles or log on to work while on holiday, with a further 44% admitting that checking emails has frustrated loved ones during their break.
One in four managers even admit to taking it a step further and working while abroad, and 86% make sure that their accommodation has wifi.
As a nation already seen to work long hours, these results show just how many of us really are workaholics. We need to learn to switch off while on holiday and spend our hard earned break relaxing by the pool and enjoying the company of our loved ones – after all, as we all know, holidays never last long enough!
