If you’re looking for a great-value holiday this summer, Spain is the place to go according to our latest research. We compared the length of our top destination’s beaches, sun hours and average water temperature versus the cost of a holiday during the busy summer sun period and are thrilled to present our sun & beach index.

Lloret de Mar, located on the Spanish Costa Brava came out on top with more than 58 hours of sun per week, 48 kilometres of beach and an average water temperature of 23 degrees.

Other resorts that proved great value included Benidorm, Crete and Majorca. The full top 10 can be found below:
