Snap happy holidaymakers are most likely to lose cameras

Whilst on holiday, we can all get a little snap happy taking thousands of photos during a week away, so it’s no surprise cameras are the most likely item to go missing.

A recent survey has revealed more than a third of holidaymakers have lost an item whilst abroad, with 35% admitting to losing their camera.

One in three holidaymakers misplace wallets or purses making it the second most commonly lost item, closely followed by sunglasses with 27% of us losing our ‘sunnies’ abroad. Surprisingly, mobile phones were the sixth most commonly lost item with just 18% of holidaymakers misplacing them, as we take better care over our precious mobiles than treasured rings, with a quarter of us losing our bling abroad.

The survey also found that thankfully 40% of lost items, did in fact get reunited with their owners.

Over the past years mobiles have played an increasingly important part in our lives, so it’s interesting to see that we obviously take better care of our all-important mobile phones.
