We’re never far away from our gadgets and flashy mobile phones these days, but it seems we still like to send a good old fashioned postcard when it comes to keeping in touch when we’re on holiday!
A recent survey found that although text messages are voted the number one way of keeping in touch, postcards are still popular with holidaymakers. Traditional postcards not only beat emails as the favourite method of saying ‘wish you were here’, but they’re also more popular than phone calls and even social media sites.
As technology continues to play a huge part in our lives, it’s nice to think that we still keep in touch the traditional way – and it’s much cheaper than a phone call! Receiving a postcard from a loved one on their travels is always a lovely way to start the day and feels all the more personal, so long may this tradition continue.
