Our Majorca Night and Day Event #MallorcaOTB

At the start of June, On the Beach took 8 of their favourite websites to the beautiful Balearic island of Majorca, staying at the new BH Mallorca Hotel in the popular resort of Magaluf.

The reason? To show people the two sides of Mallorca and prove to Brits that there’s more to this stunning island than the party resort’s reputation would lead us to believe.

Over the three day trip, named ‘Night and Day’, On the Beach showed its guests the very best of Majorca; from the wonderful food and beautiful beaches to the famous bars and nightlife – and boy, did we have fun!

Totally Beachin' welcome packAfter meeting everyone at the airport and taking advantage of Gatwick’s no1 VIP lounge, courtesy of Holiday Extras, we headed off to the sunshine.

On arrival at the BH Mallorca, we all got settled in and made our way to nibbles and drinks laid on by the hotel – and they were incredible.  After everyone had filled their boots, we headed out to Magaluf strip to make sure the ice was well and truly broken.

Our first full day gave the group the chance to see just how beautiful the island really is. First, we set sail on the Dolphin boat trip which took us around some really stunning landscape and gave us the opportunity to cast our eyes on what On the Beach really love – incredible beaches.

Majorca beachesLunchtime gave everyone the opportunity to try some authentic Mallorcan cuisine courtesy of the lovely restaurant at Portals Vells; if you’re in the area (or even if you’re not!), their gorgeous paella is a must-try.

One of the loveliest parts of Mallorca is its capital city, Palma. Steeped in culture, exquisite architecture and quaint, cobbled streets, it was the perfect place to visit with our guests. We arrived at the famous Palma Cathedral and wandered down the picturesque streets of the old town, to be met with hundreds of photo opportunities. If you want to find out more about Palma, you can read our guide here.

Palma CathedralThe evening was spent at the amazing restaurant, Balneario Illetas, which was the perfect place to watch the Mallorcan sunset. The wonderful food ranged from traditional Spanish tapas to huge hanging kebabs, and with its own private beach, it really is an unmissable dining experience.  To see a full restaurant review, view our article here.

Our second day was hosted by the BH Mallorca Hotel and gave our guests the chance to see everything that the hotel has to offer – and that’s a lot.

Split into three parts, the hotel caters for everyone, no matter what you’re in the mood for. On one side, the stage area playing music throughout the day and the other side a more chilled out atmosphere with VIP sunbeds. It’s what’s in the middle that’s most impressive though – the colossal adult only water park, that some of our guests were even brave enough to try! For more on this hotel, read our article here.

BH Mallorca Water ParkAs the sun went down on our final night and everyone prepared for the evening’s gig, there was an incredible buzz around the hotel. Tinie Tempah performed to a raucous crowd and we even got to hang out with the man himself afterwards at BCM Nightclub.

BH Mallorca stage area We were sad to say goodbye to the Mallorcan sunshine and the new friends we made but have been left with some amazing memories. If you missed it, you can catch up on all the action by searching #MallorcaOTB on Twitter or Instagram.

On the Beach had a brilliant time at this event, and we just wanted to say a big thank you again to all our wonderful guests; Em, Kayleigh, Adam, Scarlett, Zoe, Jen, Dean and Ben.
