The last event in the European Pride calendar, Winter Pride is returning for its 7th edition in 2021. Put down that brolly! It’s time to swap that knitwear for swimwear this November. What’s it like in Gran Canaria?

With endless rolling dunes, crystal-clear waters and toasty temperatures featuring all year round, it’s easy to see why Gran Canaria is a firm holiday favourite year after year. Even visiting in November means average temperatures of 22 degrees, and with an average of only six days of rainfall every year, it’s pretty much guaranteed to be blissfully warm and sunny throughout Winter Pride.

Whilst you’re not partying it up at one of the many events throughout the week, you can explore the gorgeous surroundings of Gran Canaria. Expect plenty of tapas, jugs of sangria and impressive views at every turn. Plus, you can get from one side of the island to the other in around 40 minutes. So, whether you feel like soaking up the sun on Maspalomas beach, exploring the colourful streets of Las Palmas or strapping on your boots and taking a hike in one of the 12 stunning national parks, there’s a piece of Gran Canaria out there for you.

What is Maspalomas Winter Pride all about?

Maspalomas Winter Pride is returning for its 7th edition this year, from the 5th to the 14th of November 2021. Celebrating equality, diversity and love, Winter Pride is a weeklong event of parties, parades and massive headline shows. Think boat parties, drag shows and pop sensations taking the stage, this pride is definitely not one to be missed!

The Yumbo Centre is the main central area of Winter Pride and a hive of activity both day and night. A multi-story square packed with shops, bars and clubs, it’s a one-stop shop for everything you need whilst on holiday. And, by night, the Yumbo Centre transforms into a huge mainstage area with top acts performing unforgettable shows. Whilst the line-up is yet to be announced, we just know it’s going to be a corker.
