Love or loathe flying, we’ve found a flight time for everyone!

We thoroughly enjoyed our scorching weather this weekend, but usually accept that we need to spend some time in the sky to reach some guaranteed sunshine!

Not all of us can kick back and relax on the flight, though, with loads of you saying that you’re afraid of flying, and it can be difficult to keep kids entertained and settled on long flights.

So, we’ve picked some great holiday spots, with all the sun, sand and sights you’re after, suited to your ideal flight time. With resorts just two hours from London, you’ll be up into the clouds and back down waiting for your luggage before you can read the in-flight magazine

Two hours: Calella, Costa Brava

If your ideal flight time is no hours, well, we might struggle to find somewhere, but for just two hours in the air you could get to the north of Spain! The beautiful seaside town of Calella, on the Costa del Maresme, has plenty of holiday essentials, from the sandy beach to the boutique shops and lighthouse, and the huge Dalmau Park for walking, exploring and even music concerts in Summer. If you’re feeling adventurous and fancy a day trip to the city, you can’t beat Barcelona. The 65-minute train journey there will take you along the stunning coastline offering some great views.

Three hours: Malta

Qawra is a beautiful town on the north-eastern tip of Malta, and makes the ideal spot for a relaxing holiday. There’s still lots to do if you’re travelling with the family, though, or like to keep busy. Give dawn diving a go or visit the Scubanaughts dive school. Alternatively, a day in Waterworld Watersports will always go down a treat!

Four hours: Egypt

You wouldn’t think it, but the blue waters and sunshine of Egypt are just four hours away! Spend your days snorkelling among the vibrant coral and sea life at Ras Muhammed National Park, or do all the sightseeing you could wish for, making your first stop the iconic pyramids!

Seven hours: Dubai

Seven hours in the sky will take you to Dubai! Step off the plane to a real holiday haven, with high temperatures and plenty of places to explore in the sunshine. Try the Burj Khalifa to watch the stunning beautiful fountains, take a dhow boat along the Dubai creek or visit the spice and gold souks to pick up something different.
