Ibiza to suit everyone!

It’s often assumed that Ibiza is just for those who enjoy a party, but the beautiful Balearic Island is for everyone – even families with younger children!

One of several islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Ibiza is fortunate enough to be warm throughout the year – with temperatures often hitting 25-30 degrees from May through to September.

Spanish and Catalan are the two most popular languages spoken and tapas are one of the island’s most famous cuisines.

The general landscape of the island is rocky and hard but it has plenty of beautiful sandy beaches too – some, like Cala Olivera, Playa de S’Estanyol and Cala Roja, are hidden jewels!

If you’re looking for a quiet holiday with family or friends and plenty to do, try the following areas:

– Ibiza town, with its history, culture and beautiful harbour, is the perfect base for a holiday. Find a quiet spot here, or at Baluarte de Santa Lucia, for breath-taking views at sunset, and there are shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants to keep you entertained in the evenings too.

– The 16th Century walls of Dalt Vila are one of the biggest attractions on the island, with an array of restaurants where tourists can sample all types of food – it can make a busy evening! Alternatively, sit back and watch the magicians and street performers at Plaza de Parque.

– Santa Eulalia is the place to go if you’re travelling with children. There are still plenty of excellent restaurants to dine in but it has a far more gentle pace – spend your days enjoying the beach by the palm-lined promenade. There are plenty of miniature gardens and fountains to relax by too, and you could always wander round the unique art galleries, the yacht marina or some of island’s most exclusive shops! Mariners Beach is well worth a visit if you like your watersports!

– San Antonio Bay is also perfect for families! There is a little cart track, funfairs and plenty of trampolines to entertain the youngsters while you unwind in the sun! The most important thing about these resorts is that they are safe for children to play.
