Holidays revisited

According to surveys, ‘once in a lifetime’ trips could be a thing of the past as more and more people are returning to their favourite holiday destinations. In fact, 16% of people surveyed said they had stayed in the same hotel room and 13% even managed to meet up with the same people.

Perhaps this is because of a reluctance to try new destinations, or simply for the sense of familiarity and knowing what to expect. When spending a great deal of money on a holiday, it’s often nice to have a bit of security, knowing that the hotel or area will be worth what you’re paying.

The USA topped the list of most revisited destinations, but it’s the Balearics and the Canary Islands which top the On the Beach most-visited every year.
