These newly-renovated sister hotels on the Majorcan coast combine family fun and relaxation in the sun, and the best bit, you’re basically getting two hotel stays for the price of one! Guests can use all the facilities of both Iberostar Selection Albufera Park and Iberostar Selection Albufera Playa, meaning the kids can go splashing about in the waterslide pool in the morning, and by the afternoon you can be lounging on the rooftop terrace, cocktail in hand, looking out at the sea. Which hotel is for me?
Iberostar Selection Albufera Park is the place to be for families. It’s got a splash pool, tons of activities at the Star Camp and a playground for the little ones. Iberostar Selection Albufera Playa, on the other hand, is more suited to couples, groups of friends or families with grown-up kids. It’s more relaxed, the rooms are sophisticated-chic and the cherry on top is the adults-only rooftop for Star Prestige guests. Of course, the choice is up to you! Kids are welcome at both hotels and, whichever one you choose, you can still take full advantage of all the facilities on offer.

1. Fabulous food
For 2023, Iberostar Selection Albufera has introduced three (three!) new themed restaurants, serving authentic Spanish dishes, spicy Mexican feasts and responsibly-sourced seafood with a Greek twist. And if that’s not enough, they’ve fully remodelled their buffet restaurant, too, so if you can’t make up your mind, you can head down to the international buffet to fill your boots.
2. Splashtastic swimming pools
We can’t give you an exact figure, because there are actually too many swimming pools to count at this place, but let us tell you, it’s a lot! From the shallow kids’ splash pool to the sea-view adults only pool and every body of water in between, you can scout out your ideal sunbathing spot and plonk down your beach towel wherever suits you best, before diving straight in!
3. Sandy shores
Sure swimming pools are great, but nothing beats that (slightly chilly) feeling of striding into the sea on your jollies. And what better place to splash about than Playa de Muro – Spain’s best beach (voted for in 2022!) That’s right, both hotels have direct access to an award-winning beach! You didn’t really think we’d forget about the beach, did you? This long stretch of sand with beautifully clear turquoise waters is the ideal place to do that little hot-feet dance from the sunbed to the sea – idyllic.
4. Ridiculously comfy rooms
All the hotel rooms are newly refurbished for 2023, with decor inspired by the natural surroundings. Iberostar Selection Albufera Park features paintings and colours of the flora and fauna in the nearby Albufera Nature Park, whilst Iberostar Selection Albufera Playa’s rooms take inspiration from the turquoise sea. The Family Rooms at Albufera Park (below left) are cosy and spacious, or you can opt for a Star Prestige Double Room or Suite at the Albufera Playa (below right) to enjoy the exclusive adults-only (16+) rooftop area with Balinese beds and drinks from the Open Bar. With these rooms, you also get a personalised check-in, exclusive area in the main restaurant and 25% off treatments at the spa!
5. Awesome activities
If you’re after a more active holiday, you’re in luck. The hotel is located right next to the Albufera Nature Park where you can go for walks or bike rides, or you can head down to the beach to try out some water sports. There’s also a tennis court, gym and a playground for the kids so they can get moving too. And in the evening, you can all sit down to watch a show on the big stage: the perfect end to a fun-filled day.
