Brits can’t switch off abroad

Picture this… there’s a stunning beach, beautiful golden sand all around and nothing but incredible views in sight – But of course you’re missing it all because you’re sat in the hotel lobby on Facebook…

According to a recent survey, British holidaymakers spend a whopping 21 hours on their phones or computers during a week-long holiday – that’s 3 hours a day!

Whether it’s uploading photos, checking-in on family or replying to work emails, us Brits really do struggle with switching off while abroad.

Gone are the days where you’re left to relax with no distractions and a postcard would be the only communication with back home. Now, the accessibility of the internet means that there’s no stopping us checking on the reality we’ve left behind for a week or two.

From those asked, over half of people regretted the amount of time they spent on their devices, instead wishing they had spent it enjoying their holiday.

Do you struggle to switch off ? Leave the technology at home and enjoy yourself on your next On the Beach holiday!
