When it comes to holiday planning, us girls are renowned for pampering and preening so that we feel like a goddess on the beach. But a recent survey has revealed that men can also feel self-conscious on holiday, with one in five worrying how they’ll look on the beach.
One in ten men even spend more money getting ‘beach ready’ than they did on booking the holiday, while two in ten spend more than £300 on training and treatments. Despite often being renowned for leaving things ’til the last minute, this is not the case for many men who choose to start their strict beach body regimes two months before departure, and surprisingly 14% of guys claim to be more body conscious then their partners.
With TV programmes showcasing more and more men with sculpted bodies, bronzed skin and perfect hair, it’s no surprise the ‘modern man’ image has our men running to the gym. Holidaymakers are often very snap happy when away, so it’s important to feel great about yourself, but make sure you take some time out to chill, too!
