Banishing the holiday blues

A recent survey has revealed that the first thing we do as we step through the door from holiday is put the kettle on, making us British more predictable than ever.

Out of those asked, more than one fifth admit they are in need of a good brew before even thinking about unpacking from their holiday. Second with 19%, was the act of opening doors and windows, to let some fresh air into the house. Opening the mail came third with 15% of the vote, whilst an organised 12% agreed that unloading the car and getting the suitcases indoors was the first thing they do.

Sticking to our typically British ways, it really seems that nothing beats a traditional cup of tea in your own home. The results show many of us do this as soon as we step through the door, making the transition from holiday to real life, that little bit more bearable.
