A recent survey has found that two fifths of first-time parents go on holiday before birth. This ever growing trend is known as a Babymoon, where expecting couples treat themselves to a trip away, before two becomes three.
A huge 64% of couples admit that once their baby had arrived they didn’t get to spend much quality time together, so taking a trip away gave many couples the chance to enjoy some last minute romance, before dinners’ revolve around set bed times and eating in family restaurants.
With a baby on the way, mums-to-be want to be pampered and spoilt before the big day. According to this survey, couples treating themselves to a Babymoon look for destinations offering delicious food, romance and relaxation, all of which are high on the agenda, in safe and easy-to-reach locations such as the Canary Islands and Portugal.
