8 types of people you see around the pool

This summer we’re all about celebrating poolside fun in the sun and what better way to do so than by combining two of our favourite things; pets and swimming pools…

From splashers to slackers, we bet you spot these people on holiday this summer…

The Athlete

Every holiday there’s at least one person who at first seems like your average Joe  then out of nowhere he performs a dive bound to make Tom Daley green with envy… (we’re not jealous at all).

The Splash Catcher

These guys are harmless and simply want to make the most of their holiday (by splashing anyone and everyone in sight)…

The show off

We love building sandcastles as much as the next person but there’s always one person who puts everyone else to shame…

The Doggy Paddler

Swimming may not be everyone’s favourite sport so it’s understandable that some people choose to doggy paddle when in the pool…

The ones who straightened their hair:

So you’ve spent two hours perfecting your hair when you think it will be a good idea to get in the pool … (No, we don’t think you’ll keep it dry).

The competitive one

This is the person in the pool who takes that fun game of water polo too seriously… (Pushing small children is not acceptable in any pool game).

 The one who’s too cold

Is there anything worse than people who complain it’s too cold when you’re sat enjoying a Pina Colada on a beautiful beach? The answer is no.

The sun worshipper

We all love coming back from our holiday with a tan to show off to our friends and family. But we like to do other things as well. Others don’t. The sun worshipper races to his sunbed at 7am and remains until at least 8pm…

Which one are you? Show us by entering out Great Big Holiday Splashdown competition using #OtBSplashdown for your chance to win one of four £250 On the Beach holiday vouchers…
