6 reasons we love Dubai in 20 seconds or less

There’s no place like Dubai. Where else can you find a hypermodern cityscape next to some of the most beautiful beaches on Earth? Exactly. From incredible new experiences to stunning views, we could go on and on for hours about what makes Dubai so special… To save you from that, we’ve chosen some short video snippets that we think best sum up Dubai holidays. You’re welcome.

We think the above video is our favourite. Doesn’t the Arabian Sea look tempting? Whether you prefer to admire the water from dry land or love to try your hand at a new watersport on holiday, there’s no better place to be than by the seaside in Dubai. Check out our other reasons below.

Breathtaking views

Don’t worry, you don’t need to don a wingsuit like the daredevils in this video (although, there’s nothing stopping you if you’re brave enough to give it a try!). What we love most about this clip is how it shows off Dubai’s unique Palm Jumeirah. This is a man-made waterfront in the shape of a palm tree where you’ll find find beautiful beaches, impressive hotels and the Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark.

Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark

Did we mention the Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark? Part of the Atlantis, The Palm resort, this watery world of wonder is perfect for all ages. You’ll find an amazing aquarium where you can learn about marine life – just watch out for the sharks! There’s also plenty of thrilling waterslides, splash pools for little ones and a beach area for relaxing – bliss.

Incredible attractions

Everything is bigger and better in Dubai, and that absolutely includes the attractions. From theme parks to the world’s tallest building, you name it and you’ll find it in Dubai. IMG Worlds of Adventure is a must-visit. Holding the record for biggest indoor theme park in the world, you’ find themed zones dedicated to dinosaurs, as well as Marvel and Cartoon Network characters. There’s also Legoland Dubai to let your imagination run wild.

Cultural experiences

Shopping in maze-like souks for one-of-a-kind souvenirs. Admiring the architecture at the Jumeirah Mosque. Eating like a local at a traditional restaurant. There are so many ways to soak up Dubai’s culture that you might not know where to start. Don’t worry, simply get in touch with the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Centre for Cultural Understanding. They organise friendly tours and can give you answers to any question about Dubai you can dream up.

Unexpected adventure

What do you think of when you picture Dubai? For us, stretches of sand, sizzling sunshine and glittering skyscrapers are the first things to come to mind. There’s plenty more to discover in this destination, though. Venture outside of the city and you’ll be met with awe-inspiring mountains and striking sand dunes – perfect for exploring and setting out on an adventure into the wild.
