29 March 2012 – Potential Spanish Strike

Yesterday (27/03/2012), On the Beach was informed of potential strike action in Spain on 29 March 2012. We issued an email to all customers at risk of being affected to let them know that as a result of this strike action, flights to and from Spain, as well as those operating through Spanish airspace, may be subject to delays.

Today (28/03/2012), Ryanair and Easyjet have started to cancel some flights due to depart tomorrow (29/03/2012). Currently, Ryanair has cancelled certain flights to the Balearics and mainland Spain, whereas Easyjet have cancelled certain flights to the mainland only. On the Beach will continue to monitor the situation with regards to Easyjet and the Balearics.

We have a dedicated team working through affected flights. If your flight is affected, we will contact you directly with further information.

In all cases, we advise you to continue to monitor your relevant airline’s website for updates.
