I had always heard this was a very popular resort, and now I know why! The hotel we stayed in was about a minute away from a clean sandy beach, at least 4 clubs and a local shop. Other facilities such as a supermarket and internet cafe were also a few minutes walk. The people in this resort were extremely friendly and I'm guessing they are used to English visitors, as many of the people in the shops spoke a good amount of English. This is a great, lively, resort for young people who want the club scene, families with young children, and even couples. There is something for everyone! Would definately recommend it.

Useful Tips:

It you are on a package holiday, the reps will probably try to sell you day trips to various places such as Port Aventura and the local markets, but have a look at the local offers, sold by the bus service, they are cheaper by far and just as reliable and easy to use!

Comments:

this is a great destionation for family or couples, there were lots to do, and would also keep children happy. this was our second visit. I like the short flight from Scotland. We stayed at the Mollinos Park hotel, on an all inclusive, the food was great plenty of choice at every meal. we enjoyed the audlt only sun terrace nice to enjoy the sun.

Useful Tips:

you can get a 10 journy bus pass, that works out cheaper, than paying every trip, and you can get around to visit other beaches and markets or towns. Also the wee train is also worth a trip.

La Pineda is a quieter part of Salou. Lovely promenade with glorious beach. Plenty of restaurants and bars. It only takes 10 mins by bus into Salou centre and they run approx every ten minsa 1 euro 80 each way. Salou is lovely in the evenings with superb fountain shows on the promenade.I would definately recommend this area for a relaxing holiday.

Useful Tips:

Pick Pockets.
