Comments:
Lovely apartment rio marinas. Walk to town via beach about 1 mile and shuttle bus back only 1 euro. Clean rooms and lovely position right by sandy beach.
Useful Tips:
Balcon de Europe is stunning. Buses cheap but remember to buy ticket from kiosk before getting on bus. Airport to nerja on 2 buses was very easy and only 6 euros each. Caves are well worth a visit. Lovely resort in any weather!

Comments:
Went for 10 Nights to Nerja,in September 2008. The weather was lovely and the town of Nerja itself very clean, people nice and friendly, and the beaches were great, also very clean. The Balcon De Europe was a good central view point from all angles. Plenty of shops, restaraunts and a horse and carriage trip around the town should you require. The town square was a great place to meet up or just sit ad while away the hours people watching. Would recommmed it and would definately go again.
Useful Tips:
Horse and Carriage trip, Noddy Train around the town.

Comments:
Truly fabulous resort, so many excellent restaurants, line along charming pavements. Tourists but in a good way, not for the lager louts but for the more sophisticated crown. Stayed at the Balcon de Europa hotel which was lovely but they do charge for the sunbeds, bit greedy I think.
Useful Tips:
Long way from the airport but there is a realiable bus service.

Comments:
We went as an extended family group to Nerja and all loved it. Grand parents spent time relaxing by the pool and beach and enjoyed promenading on the Balcon. The young adults in the group found plenty of entertainment in the many bars and clubs and we always felt they were safe and happy. This resort is a far cry from the 'drunken Brits abroad' type that is often reported in the media. The forty-somethings were entertained exploring the rambling shopping streets and cafes and visiting the near by caves and local beaches. We found a wide variety of places to eat and drink without having to venture far. Nerja was charming and not over developed or over run by holiday makers. It is worth noting that younger children may find the beaches disappointing. The ones we visited consisted of small sharp pebbles that were sore to walk on and at times the sea was rough enough to take the legs from an adult.
Useful Tips:
Transfers from the airport were expensive and took about an hour. In hind-sight it would have been as cheap to hire a car for a week.
