If you're planning to go on holidays to Spain, be sure to visit the white-silted shores of the Costa Blanca! This is one of the most beautiful resorts in the area, with gorgeous white-shingle beaches on the azure Mediterranean, and plenty of sights to see. Because of this, many tourists are electing to base themselves at quieter resorts away from the hubbub, and La Sella is just one such place! This lush, verdant spot has sprung up recently a few miles from the popular beach and town of Denia, meaning you can have the best of both worlds - peace and quiet and partying! With On The Beach, it's all just two hours away, and a short drive from Alicante Airport to the La Sella hotel of your choice!
From winter temperatures of around 10° Celsius to 20° Celsius, to scorching summer peaks nearing 40° Celsius, La Sella holidays are never exactly cool - so be sure to bring the sunscreen with you! The skies are usually clear too, although a light cagoule might be in order for the occasional rainy day in December and January.
There's plenty of bars and restaurants nearby in which to wet your whistle, not to mention top-rate 18 hole golfing facilities and a tennis club. You're 5 minutes drive from Denia's town centre, with it's 12th Century castle and Archaeological Museum, not to mention the impressive sculptures that abound from the Montgo mountains to the sea, with palms and whitewashed buildings completing that Mediterranean ambience! It might be a quiet town, but holidays to La Sella still offer plenty of sights and sounds.
Speaking of sounds, for some nightlife, head to nearby Denia, which has the advantage of hosting both inexpensive and top class inns along the main street, from Irish pubs to cocktail bars. Alternatively you could make the trip to nearby Javea instead, with it's all-night clubs and discos giving you a party atmosphere worthy of Benidorm. Or do neither and simply head to the beach, for a Margarita and some music by the setting sun!
Denia's beachfronts offer the best of both worlds - rowdy tourist spots at Les Marinas, with quieter coves such as Les Rotes down the coast; miles of beaches to suit every mood! Head to the harbour that dissects the two beaches and watch the yachts and ferries disappear into the blue horizon; or to the Montgo Mountains, with their Natural Wildlife Reserves offering a great place to picnic while taking in the Mediterranean panoramas below.
Holidays to La Sella offer a veritable feast of culture throughout the year. Between Javea and Denia alone, there are over 50 festivals per year here, at least one every month! Be sure to visit the Bonfires of St John in June or the Moors and Christians August revel, and March would not be complete without witnessing the giant bonfires of the Fallas. All these festivities are of course replete with street parades, folk music and huge paellas! For a quieter time on your holidays, head down to Denia's bustling daily fish market, or to Javea's huge Thursday market.
With On The Beach, you're only a few clicks away from all your holidays in La Sella, not to mention your stay in a wide range of hotels in La Sella's leafy suburbs! Don't delay - there are great offers available right now!
