You might as well go to Marrakech - much better. Agadir was dirty, not a very nice beach and it rained in August when we were there! We did a day trip to Marrakech, but it wasn't enough time and the guides were so annoying! Wont be going there again!!
Useful Tips:
Go to Marrakech instead if you want to go to Morocco!

Comments:
Agadir is sold by tourist as the best beach in Morroco. Now I don't know if this is true but Agadir as a destination is pretty awful. It does have a nice beach and some of the big hotels do look impressive but the place is just one big building site. Apparently there was an earth quake here in the 80's that flattened the place so they are obvioulsy under going massive redevelopement. We went with my 3 year old and really wanted to discover Morroco but we might as well have gone to Tenerife. We wanted to get away for New Year for some sun and relaxing some where cheap. Agadir was NOT cheap. I would say eating and drinking was as expensive if not more expensive than home. The weather wasn't great either - jackets and jeans must. Agadir is pretty dull - even New Year wasn't much happenening. Morroco as a country was great, lovely people, great place, but Agidir? Rather Aga'don't!
Useful Tips:
Just don't visit!

It was like Clacton-on-Sea (no offence) but in Winter! Cold, boring, no nightlife open, dirty, rather scary in some parts (ghetto) the market also quite scary, dark, and the people really pushy. Marrakech much better. Sea was dirty and the beach was grey and covered in litter.
Useful Tips:
Very pushy people, even on the street, asking you where you are going and wanting to take you - for money! Do not wander in the Ghetto areas by yourself, we got lost and it was very scary, glue sniffing on corners, and children fighting with knives in the street (NOT AN EXAGGERATION!!) The beach is dirty - we found empty syringes on it!!

Hello Agadir is one of the most visited destinations in Morocco.I stayed there for three weeks with my family, the first week was good,we went to the souk many times,we also visited a place called paradise valley and waterfall of Imouzzer. After this i was a bit bored,i couldn't find any interesting attraction around.Fortunately, somebody from the same hotel where we stayed suggested to go to Taghazout ,it's a small fishing village 20 km from Agadir.Lucky enough,we found,by coincidence a surf school there,Called Surf berbere, and started my first surf session.Since this i decided to leave my parents and my little sister in Agadir and stay in taghazout at the surf camp for the rest of holiday for practice and learn more surfing. http://www.surfberbere.com That was the best thing happened to me, I like surfing and i already planing to go back there next octobre because i really miss Taghazout waves and surf camp atmosphere. Thanks to Surf Berbere

I can honestly say that there is not one thing about Aruba that anyone could possibly dislike. The Country has something to offer everyone, of any age. The locals are always smiling, and to say they make you feel welcome is an under statement, they go out of their way to make sure your experience on this island is one you'll cherish, and you do!! The food served in their local Bars and Restaurants is wonderful, from Italian, Mexican, American or there's even a Dutch Pancake House which is just fantasic for breakfast, Lunch or Dinner!! The Island of Aruba sits outside the hurricane belt, so you can visit anytime of the year without that worry. The Islands number plates have 'One Happy Island' as their logo, and that is so true!!
Useful Tips:
The Scuba diving is incredible, they even have a wreck you can dive down to which is a must!! The restaurants and Bars in Orangestad are all fantastic, but a fabulous bar to visit is called The Paddock, the staff there are all so friendly and will try and make your experience one to remember!! There's also the chance to explore the island by Jeep on their Safari Jeep adventure, a great way to see and learn the history about Aruba!! The best thing about the Island for me was being able to walk around the Island feeling safe, from what i understand when i was there was that the crime rate in Aruba is so low, that they only have two police on quadbikes patrolling the whole island!!
