Bugibba is a large and popular tourist area situated on the north east coast of Malta, close to St Pauls Bay on one side and the newer resort of Qawra on the other. It's the largest of all the resorts in this area having the liveliest night life including a casino and cinema and it can even boast a bingo hall. Bugibba holidays offer something for everyone in the family and are also very popular with couples looking for a romantic break in the sun.
As you would expect with a Mediterranean island destination, the temperatures in Bugibba are fairly high throughout the year with an average of 18° Celsius. Temperatues reach their annual zenith of about 30° Celsius during the peak summer months when holidays to Bugibba are most popular.
However, with favourable weather conditions in bother spring and autumn, you can take your Bugibba holidays off peak when the weather is still pleasant and the crowds have thinned out.

Bugibba Square and its surrounding streets are the main focal points for the evening entertainment and its plentiful restaurants and cafes serve everything from the finest Maltese cuisine to good old fashioned British fayre. There are also many family oriented hotels in Bugibba which provide their own brand of sports and entertainment facilities so Bugibba holidays have something for everyone.
For those who simply enjoy people watching, you can take an evening stroll along the promenade at Bugibba where locals dressed up in their Sunday best and mingle. If you need your entertainment to be further pumped up by a notch or three, there is a nightly bus service to Malta's entertainment 'capital' Paceville which run nightly during the summer and on weekends in the winter months.
Although its beach is rocky, the area oozes charm and there are some enchanting, romantic coves to explore and enjoy. Holidays to Bugibba also attract those who enjoy watersports. It's popular with swimmers and snorkellers alike and is also enjoyed by those who simply like to relax and sunbathe but don't particularly like the sand as the rocks are predominantly smooth.
However, if it's sandy beaches you're after, Mellieha is only 8km away and there's a regular bus service there from Bugibba. Scuba diving for both beginners and the more advanced is well catered for by Anchor Diving Systems.
For those who appreciate local craftsmanship and culture, Ta'Qali is the place to go - a craft village which is open to the general public where you can watch local craft workers and artists making traditional Maltese items.
