Comments:

I have been visisting Rhodes Island every year for the last 15 years. It is a beautiful Island and the people that live on the island are very friendly. You must visit Rhodes town during the day to visit the old town and in the evening as the evening lights make the town magical. Valley of the butterflies, Seven springs and the enormous cross at filarimos are all nice places to see. Faliraki's night life is fun fun fun, not only in the main club and bar street but there are some lovely restaurants in the surrounding streets, like Manolis' Peter's, The Alabama Bar and Nectar where you will get a very nice welcome from the owners. Some of the places I would recommend to stay in Faliraki are Rodos Sun, The Old Windmill and Sun Maris. I hope whoever visits this island will have a great holiday

Useful Tips:

Beautiful island, very sincere people and lovely food

Comments:

10th year visiting Faliraki in different hotels. Fantastic beaches, friendly people. Different tastes for nightlife, from Bar Streetand Club Street up to the more family bars/ tavernas near the traffic lights. Staying at The Old Windmills this year and expect it to be as good as anywhere else for a budget hotel/ appartments. Great waterpark nearby.

Useful Tips:

Watersports and great beaches, boat trips from the harbour. Have a day at the waterpark. The Octopus BBQ at the Cannon Bar with George & Kaths Greek dancing is a must, as is the Alabama and Thomas bars near the lights. The young and young at heart must go down bar street a few times. Check out Anthony Quinn bay a short taxi ride away and Kallithea for scuba and snorkel.Nice restaurants every where.

Comments:

Faliraki is recovering at last from bad media coverage it has one of the best beaches in greece(2miles) and very clean and lapped by gentle blue waters. When the sun goes down the place lights up and shops appear and bar's aplenty and eating houses for every taste and the friendly welcome of the locals is a feature. There is a water park for the kids and a 18hole golf course for dad just along the coast at afondu. Faliraki is the ideal choice for young, old and families and is rightly reclaiming it's place high on the list of top holiday destinations. Ken Gosney

Useful Tips:

A visit to Rhodes old town is a must and the best time is in the evening, be prepared to haggle on prices. a good way to get there is by local bus but be aware they are never full so be prepared to stand. All in all this is a perfect holiday destination for all ages. Be aware of flying pests, a repellent and something for your accomodation is a must.
