After visiting several of the Caribbean Islands, I found Tobago the most beautiful, mainly because it's still unspoilt. Head to Castara for the best beaches and most amazing fish restaurants and Sunday School for the ultimate Tobago experience

Tobago was paradise. My partner and I had wanted a romantic, relaxing getaway and we certainly were not disappointed. Beaches are pristine, locals are so hospitable and the atmosphere was typically laid back and full of surprises! I'd love to return to Tobago and enjoy the fabulous food, weather and general feel-good factor again. Go on and give it a go!
Useful Tips:
We stayed at the Grand Courlan which was all-inclusive accommodation. It was fantastic value for money and we enjoyed the papmer treatments in the spa. Take a taxi ride and visit the local markets. Taxi drivers are like unpaid tour guides! Don't eat coconut from the locals on the beaches as they expect money.

Clear blue skies, turquoise sea & white sand & thats not the best bits!!! Travel to Tobago where you can see the real carribean at its best. You could have an amazing holiday by just sitting at the beach & admiring your wonderful surroundings but.....for the more adventurous folks around how about a day rain forest trecking, swimming at the bottom of a beautiful waterfall to cool off, visiting the slightly less well known areas & have lunch with the locals. Ok maybe you prefer the coast??? Why not learn to scuba dive & see the marine wildlife close up that you'd normally see on TV or much smaller in a tropical fish tank?? I can definatly say that it is a location I will be visiting again & again & again!!!!
Useful Tips:
The Black Rock area in Tobago is an excellent place to see Leatherback Turtles lay their eggs. The prime beaches in this area for turtle sightings are Turtle Beach‚ Grafton Beach and Black Bay but the best time for this according to the locals is January to April. A great place for diving & snorkeling is Buccoo reef and you could on the same trip visit the legendary Nylon Pool named by Princess Margaret in the 60's. The rainforest reserve full of Caribbean birds & wildlife is an amazing day out if not a bit tiring. But a day at the beach after to recover does the trick. If you are staying in a hotel why not venture out for dinner or lunch at a local restaurant as the 'real' local food is amazing. We loved The Seahorse Inn on Grafton Beach Road.
