Comments:
antigua was simply gorgeous, we stayed in the sandals resort which was 5 star rating, the paths were dirty full of bird pooh and found the restaurants so full you had to wait over an hour for seating, i would not go to sandals again, beach too full of empty saved sun beds, not acceptable
Useful Tips:
take anti histamin tabs for mossie bite ya and take spray too, antigua is easy to drive round, safe lots of americans there, nelson dock yard was good and shirely hights too worth looking

Comments:
I first visited Antigua in 2007 and I loved it so much I got married there in March 09. We will definatley be visiting the Island again in the near future. It is the perfect place to relax. The people are so friendly, the beaches were really nice and the weather was hot hot hot.
Useful Tips:
Shirley heights its a must see. If you dont do anything else I recommend you go and experience this trip. A visit to st Johns (the capital) is the best place for shopping just get there before the cruise liners are in because it is caos.

What a fantastic dream island, you have looked at the brochures and dreamed of going and i will say as soon as you get off the airplane your hooked for life. fantastic people, incredible food, went once for a come on lets go and got engaged, had to go for the second time to get married. FANTASTIC, SUNSHINE AND MORE SUNSHINE.
Useful Tips:
St johns (the main / only town)best for shopping for your duty freebes, mind the market just outside they sell some weird things there. 365 beaches all open to the public, and get a ride around the island with one of the tour guides, (ask for some home made sues sauce. go in jan/feb its ther spring, temps still 38/45. They have a saying about the hurricane season, june to soon august a must and october its over. Take factor 25/30 if your not use to the sun, you can always cut down in the second week.
