a laid back peaceful residential area where most of the bars are english owned no beach but lovely views arond the rocky bay. there were plenty of roadworks while we were there building new roads and pavements which i have been informed are now finished. If you want mad nightlife and beach all day then head to las americas
Useful Tips:
las galletas just down the road for nice food

Comments:
Just great!Long walks, fresh air, breathtaking scenery amongst a few of the attractions! No loud, drunken youngsters staggering all over! But if you want more "action" it's just a short bus ride away!!!PERFECT for everyone!!!!
Useful Tips:
I think you'll just fall in love with the place.walk down to the village (Las Galletas) & see normal tenerife life.....not just tourists.Plonk yourself down in a bar.....& " people watch".

Comments:
If you want to go some where quiet - away from the young Brits getting drunk - then this is the place. The people are very friendly and there are some nice places to eat out - although you dont get much for your euro now and we found prices more than in London! Also great for lying by the pool but not muck in the way of beaches.
Useful Tips:
Beer is far better value than spirits in bars, get a bottle of your favourite tipple and have it on your balcony before you go out!

Comments:
we picked this area because it didnt seem to have big high rise hotels, or nightclubs etc. It IS a very quiet area, and when we were there in January, not crowded. There probably isnt much to do for those looking for excitement in the evenings. It suited us well. We hired a car and could do our own thing. Nowhere is very far away on Tenerife.
Useful Tips:
the harbour area is nice to wander around and probably the most interesting part of this area

Useful Tips:
there was a hand full of small complex's which had great friendly bars in them. also if you go around christmas they have a fab christmas fair which entertains the hole familey. there is also a great fishing harbour in the small village.
