Despite recent tourist development within the resort, Mastichari beach has managed to maintain its natural beauty. The once quiet beach has now turned into what many of the locals regard as one of the finest beaches across Kos. Drenched in dusty white sand with wide open spaces it offers a great chance to unwind, and watching the turquoise sea shimmer under then sun you'll find it difficult to resist a cooling swim. The beach neighbours a small fishing port where you can watch the local fishermen bringing in their daily catch, which the nearby tavernas will cook in traditional Greek style for you.   Read more about this beachMinimise

Waterpark - On the island of Kos, close to Mastihari village, you will find an area to relax and spend some amusing hours: the Waterpark Lido. This amazing recreation park was constructed in 2005 and expands in an area of 75,000 sq. m. Its aim is to attract more and more tourists on the island and to give them options on how to have the most of fun. It usually opens in early April and closes in late October, so it works only during high season. The Waterpark Lido of Kos includes many watersports in its premises for both young and adults. Among its games, we include the Lazy River, the Wave Pool, the Giant Slide, the Black Hole, the Hydro Tube and many others. In the waterpark, there are also restaurants, snack bars and cafeterias to offer you whatever you may need during the day.   Read moreMinimise

Hipocrates Plane Tree - In the centre of Kos island in front of the Castle of Knights stands a huge old plane tree, known as the ”Hippocrates plane tree'.According to what Kos inhabitants say, the Hippocrates plane tree was planted by this famous Greek physician, who used its shade to teach his students in this place. As the tree is 500 years old, it is obviously not the one that Hippocrates planted, since he lived around the 5th century BC. Therefore, it is said to be descendant of that one.   Read moreMinimise

Sometimes referred to as 'Exotic beach', Polemi can be found on the islands south-western coast. The long stretch of soft white sand is one of the few nudist beaches across Kos, and stretching over 3 kilometres the beach has plenty of wide open spaces for you to relax without distraction. If you want to pay a visit to the beach but would prefer to stay covered up, then a separate area known as 'Magic beach' is made available. Both sections offer a good range of facilities for you to make the most of, and should you get hungary the beachfront is filled with traditional Greek tavernas, serving up freshly-cooked local dishes.    Read more about this beachMinimise
