Whenever you book with On the Beach through our website we want to make sure you get the very best deal possible. To make sure of this, we now offer a Price Match when you book a flight plus hotel, which is your guarantee that you never pay too much for any holidays sold on our website.

The Price Match is simple. We are so confident we offer the lowest prices available online that we will refund the difference if you find a lower price on any other UK website, on the same day as you made your purchase with us.

Terms and Conditions

1. The Price Match applies only to internet sites that have the identical (i.e. party size, dates, duration, flight times, flight numbers, in flight extras, hotel, room type, number of rooms and board basis) product immediately available all on one site, and the service is priced accurately.
2. Price Match requests are for bookings made online only, must not be submitted to us without having confirmed an order through our site and must be submitted to us on the same day of your purchase on our website.
3. You must have taken reasonable care to book on our site at the best available price.
4. The holiday you are asking us to Price Match must be from a legitimate ABTA and/or ATOL bonded website, available to book online and must include any handling charges, booking fees, credit card fees and such like.
5. The holiday you are asking us to Price Match cannot include in its price any money off coupons, promotional vouchers or offers or bulk-buy discounts.
6. The Price Match guarantee does not include On the Beach matching our own offers which may change subject to availability or holidays sold through internet auction sites.
7. Please note that we will not Price Match individual elements of a holiday where you have chosen to book the flight and hotel with us - we will only Price Match a better overall total price. For example, if you have booked a holiday including a flight and a hotel on our site, we will not reduce our price where you find a lower price for just the flight or just the hotel separately and where we offer to Price Match a holiday, both elements of the holiday must be available on a single website, bookable as one unit, at a lower overall price.
8. The holiday you are asking to Price Match must be in pounds sterling.
9. We are unable to match prices for hotel only bookings.
10. We are unable to match prices for flight only bookings.
11. We are unable to match prices for tour operator package holidays.

To request a Price Match

Email pricematch@onthebeach.co.uk and remember to include:

• Your On the Beach order reference number.
• The URL of the page displaying the cheaper price. (Please do not send the URL of the homepage)
• A screen shot of the final booking page displaying all the prices and elements of the booking you are asking us to Price Match. The screenshot must show:-
  • Party size and child ages.
  • The Flight operator, details, extras and price.
  • The Hotel name, room type, board basis, number of rooms and price.
  • Details of transfers (if included)
  • Summary of overall price including any discounts and total payable.

Please note we cannot accept responsibility where you have failed to send us the information requested in the format required or where a URL from the site you are asking us to Price Match is no longer active, as it prevents us from viewing the comparison holiday.

Should this mean that we are unable to view a Price Match request from you on the day of purchase we will not be obliged to match the price for a booking if you later send a working URL or complete screen shot.

We will review the details of your Price Match request and reply to you via email within 7 working days. Refunds will be re-credited to the original card used to make your online purchase within 14 days or where only a deposit has been paid; the amount will be discounted from your outstanding balance.

Peace of Mind with On the Beach Total Assurance

The flight failures recently have only served to highlight the importance of ensuring that you are well looked after in the unfortunate event of the insolvency of a flight supplier. On the Beach have arranged a number of in resort and out of resort support and services giving you peace of mind in the rare event of the insolvency of a flight company. We will guarantee to deliver the following:

• All On the Beach administration fees waivered (see below)
• Dedicated phone and email support – priority access to a team of agents to assist you
• SMS and email alert service – receive texts with alert in resort, notification in the rare event of the insolvency of your flight company, communication on what to do next and support to repatriate you and your passengers as soon as possible

In Resort and due to travel on a ATOL Protected Charter Flight

• In the rare event of the insolvency of an ATOL protected charter airline we ensure you are REPATRIATED FOR FREE.

In Resort and due to travel on a No frills or scheduled flight

• Where the airline is a no frills or scheduled carrier we will also assist you in finding new flights in line with original dates with NO BOOKING FEE

Due to Travel on a ATOL Protected Charter Flight

• In the rare event of the insolvency of an ATOL protected charter airline we will assist in the claims and process of returning monies as quickly and seamlessly as possible with the CAA and ATTF
• No booking fee if you rebook your flights with us
• No admin fees for cancelling or amending your hotel due to a flight change

Due to Travel on a No frills or scheduled flight

• We will assist you in getting your full flight cost back via your card company

GUARANTEED Complete Financial Protection –
Your Holiday Is Safe With Us

It’s reassuring to know that every aspect of your holiday is financially protected when you book with On the Beach. So in the event of any supplier or On the Beach failure, your money is safe. Whether you’re counting down to departure or already on holiday, you can have complete peace of mind that you’re guaranteed financial protection.

Please remember we do not organise or sell package holidays. But with this financial protection guarantee, each individual transaction in your overall holiday booking is still covered and your money is therefore safe.

What is protected? Everything!

• Scheduled flights booked with On the Beach are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Our ATOL number is 10017.
• Charter flights booked with On the Beach are protected by the CAA under the charterer’s own ATOL.
• Low cost or no frills flights booked with On the Beach, are protected by a combination of airline failure insurance and a new ATOL approved On the Beach Trust Fund, which is managed by an independent corporate trustee.
• Overseas hotel accommodation is covered by the new On the Beach Trust, with your money safe and secure right up until you return home.
• Overseas transfers and car hire are also covered by the new On the Beach Trust.

On the Beach has an ATOL from the CAA. It is a requirement of the offer of an ATOL that we provide financial protection arrangements for all bookings which include a flight, accommodation, car hire or transfers.

This protection is provided by a combination of a CAA approved Trust Fund (which protects you in the unlikely event of our insolvency) and airline failure insurance, meaning any element of your holiday affected by supplier failure will be refunded, and we will help to ensure the other components of your holiday will still be able to go ahead.

Please note the Trust is a approved by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) who manage ATOL (the financial protection scheme). We are also a Member of ABTA which means you have the benefit of ABTA’s assistance and Code of Conduct.

What should I do if this affects me?

In the event of airline insolvency simply contact On the Beach and we will remunerate your lost monies or arrange your flight home if you are overseas at the time of the collapse.

This service is part of On the Beach’s commitment to financially protect your booking.

On the Beach are covered against financial insolvencies under a corporate insurance through Whitman Gowdridge Insurance Brokers Ltd, and is provided by International Passenger Protection (IPP) Ltd, the worldwide leaders in providing insolvency protection to the travel industry.

All security on IPP policies is provided by a panel of leading Insurers and Reinsurers with combined net assets in excess of €100 Billion.

Terms & Conditions

The above applies to all new UK bookings made from 22 July 2011. As is standard with online travel agents, booking administration fees will not be refundable in the event of airline failure, neither will in-flight extras and credit card charges.
